Load it differently from the 6 shot cartridge
It loads differently than the the six cartridge. The spring doesn't rotate the red holder/gear. You just load them from the back. Tested it... works great! They should tell you that, so you don't think it's broke.

I bought 3 of these and only 1 of them actually fit into the gun. The other 2 i had to force in and I broke the plastic on both of them and can't return them. I guess I can't recommend these. They may be knock offs or they may have just not been manufactured correctly. I don't know. But I had to use an electric sander to shave off some plastic so that they fit in the gun.

Fits the Hatsan Jet*
"Hatsan S/Roto Index Magazine - .22 Caliber - 12-Shot" I got this because I heard it fits the Hatsan Jet. It does fit, but if you are using a scope, your scope has to be mounted extra high. Else, great magazine!

Fits great, cycles well. - Hatsan Jet 2
They fit a lot tighter than the Sortie magazines that I have with the grey backing. No wiggle whatsoever. Awesome design. Got them to replace the original 7 shot ones that came with my Jet 2.
