Great beginner Cajon
I've had it for 9 years with no problems. I've seen reviews about the bass, I ball up my hand into a fist and hit it. Thumps enough for me.

Horrible, No Bass/flat sounding and the string just buzzes. Cheaply made from very thin materials.
This Cajon looks nice on pictures but is a terrible Cajon. It is cheaply made in China and all walls are made of thin plywood with a few 1/2 inch sticks inside service as bracket. The whole thing weighs about 7 pounds only. That is not the worst part on this Cajon. The sound is also horrible. It has a thin sound with no bass sound whatsoever. The string that is supposed to give you the snare sound just buzzes wherever on the face of the Cajon is hit. No matter what kind of adjustment I do give me no reprieve from the horrible snare buzz. It is truly a buzz kill. Let my experience with this Cajon be the lesson. LOOK ELSEWHERE and DO NOT BUY this Cajon. It is HORRIBLE.

You Get What You Pay For...
This cajon is what you would expect from a $50 cajon...If you are just looking for something to get you started it's not bad...it has a very clagy sound though...it has 2 snare strings that almost make it sound like it has loose screws...If you are looking for a good cajon for performances...DON'T BUY THIS...I you really want a good sound I would suggest the slaptop cajon from Meinel...It's $150 but the sound is SOOOOOO much better...perfect for any performance especially an acoustic set.

Very well made for the price
The workmanship is good. The feet on the front are handy. The rubber seat on top is great. However, there is not as much difference between the sounds of the center and edge. Since I am new to the Cajon, I waited to try another brand before reviewing. The other brand had a much more obvious difference in sound. There is a difference with this one - just not as pronounced. It is great for kids, however. It is half the price of that other brand. The black finish on the sides and back doesn't show little scratches from the kids rough play. The rubber seat helps them not slip off. They love it.
