Exceptional Blade at an Exceptional Price
Though this purchase hardly broke the bank, it was the first "higher end" knife I purchased after I determined that I want to become more serious about my cooking. I am very pleased with my first chef's knife. Balanced in the hand, beautiful to the eye, impressive on the job--it does each task at a high level and makes me feel I did myself a favor by investing in a quality implement. It also comes housed in a handsome protective box that keeps the blade out of harm's way when not is use. Highly recommended.

Pro grade knife. You won't be disappointed. Note, this is a physically big knife.

Decided to Keep
At first, thought this blade was just ''too heavy''. Once I started using it, realized the weight was balanced enough to allow the 'BLADE' to do most of the work. The design of the handle to blade allows for good safe clearance of hand and knuckles on the handle and safely away from the blade. After a few weeks of use, it's a good value for a blade under $40. I've only had to ''steel'' it once or twice since first use. Holds the edge well, and will gladly give you a souvenir "slice: on any finger. A rite of passage with any new blade! <lol>

GREAT knife for the money!
I bought this as a gift for my nephew who I was teaching how to cook when he was staying with me during the Lockdown. He had never used a real knife before and when he got his own place recently, I gifted him this knife to start his collection. His text to me: "Coolest. Gift. Ever!" To be perfectly honest, as a professional chef, I probably wouldn't buy this for myself (I already have Henckels and Wustoffs), but for a beginning and/or intermediate level chef, this knife is GREAT! And I have to admit (albeit grudgingly) that this knife looks cool AF. I did slice some veggies with it before I gave it to him and right out of the box, it was razor sharp, well-balanced and comfortable to hold and use. Definitely a 5-Star purchase. Highly recommended for all.

A nice surprise and great cuts after a year
When I received this knife I judged it as a cheap product from China because of the faux templated forged blade design that suggested this is the fabled Damascus steel. It has been about a year or more and this knife continues to provide amazing cuts. While there are aspects of the design that can be improved, such as thickness where it meets the handle, this is the knife I rely on for sharpness. I only use my knife sharpening steel to help keep the edge on this. I am considering buying other knifes from this manufacturer.

Santa will make him happy this year
He is a knife nut. I got one set of tableware back16 years ago. We had plenty of knives for cooking and a kitchen block full of knives and had to switch out one table ware drawer just for knives. So it is not as if we do not have some really special knives. Then he saw those and I could see his eyes glaze over. Frankly I think it is the pretty pattern in the metal that makes the blade. Wow, that is showy. Now that I got two sizes for him for Christmas... I see these knives on TV ...you can't miss that pattern on the blade. He never asks for much so I am happy to find something that he really wanted.

And if you want a torture test testimony, I prepare 250 meals at a time, using my Mosfiata knife to cut meat, hard vegetables (turnip, cabbage, carrots), and I find it incredibly easy to maintain its original sharpness! by the way, this knife is incredibly sharp, as is its 8" companion, which I have as well. Easy to clean, easy to sharpen, and a very nice balance leaves no hand fatigue even after slicing and dicing 20 turnips (try it and you'll know what I mean.....). Until you master this knife, please use the finger guard. I learned the hard way, as it slices human skin just as easy as it slices a tomato! Don't let that scare you, however...they call this knife "Professional" and I can agree --- without the 'Professional' cost. Incredible durability...I have used my 8" version for over 2 years and now have acquired the 10 incher - - It is absolutely the best knife in the kitchen, and all my sous-chefs want them!

This knife is great . cuts through anything with ease. I have never sharpened it to prove my knife is better then my chef daughters who sharpens hers all the time. It isnt better , but it still cuts.

It is what it is. It’s a Chinese mass produced knife. It is not Damascus steel. It is a regular steel knife with a transferred pattern to “look like” Damascus steel. Then again what would you expect for a $30 - $40 knife. It will still need to be sharpened like a regular kitchen knife. For the price it’s a useful knife for home kitchen use.

Don't think you're getting a special blend of steel. The pattern images is a print and not due to a blended steel forging. But it cut paper with no effort! Super sharp!
