Does what it says. It’s not going to last forever but it will get you through a month or so of heavy use (Constantly having to show your badge). It’s light weight. The clip is decently constructed but you may struggle with thicker materials. The little plastic/rubber pieces that hold the ID card became cloudy and dirty looking after about two months of work exposure. That’s not bad for a little bit of plastic, however. Plus this product comes with multiples so you can leave one clipped to your vest and another clipped to your work belt or belt loop. Just be careful with the retraction feature because that is a metal spring and it isn’t designed to last eternally. It won’t stand up to abuse from the user. If you’re hanging keys off it, don’t. The keys will break it fast and they’ll swing around bopping back and forth from your front to your back.

I ripped one open easier than I expected which makes sense for a cheap badge holder, the annoying part is that it only happened because it was difficult to open it up. Other than that luckily the second one was okay and still holding on so far.

These are a great quality for the price. The retractable cord is very durable, does not snag and retracts smoothly even after full extension. I work in a manufacturing plant that has multiple "secure access" doors and these hold my pass cards perfectly. Will buy another set just to have extras. Item is exactly as described and an excellent value!
