** Update: After trying several things to get better range on the remote, I discovered that it only seems to be very limited when it's on top of the visor (i.e., in between the visor and the roof of the car). Clipping the remote to the visor the other way -- leaving it fully exposed, buttons facing down to the steering wheel -- seems to have solved the problem. It now works reliably and from the end of the driveway or beyond. Original: The good thing is that, as advertised, they are very simple to program. It took less than a minute to get both remotes working with my 90s-era opener. The bad thing is that they don't seem to work reliably. The range of the remote seems to be unpredictable. My original remote worked from well beyond the driveway, but the new remotes sometimes don't work until I'm right up on the door. Sometimes it takes just one click, other times it takes 3 or 4 clicks to make it do something. I don't know if these remotes are faulty or what, but they are very frustrating to use compared to the originals. I'm looking for alternatives.

Perfect Craftsman garage door opener
This is an excellent garage door opener. I am very satisfied with this one because all I had to do is press the reset button on both the remote control and the button on the Craftsman garage door opener. It works perfectly and so unlike the one I sent back that was made in China which was a waste of time.

2nd time purchasing
This is my second set! They last about 2 years. I cannot open the remote, and for the price of batteries I figure to buy 2 more. The set up is really simple but the directions are confusing.
