So much better than a Bria-type pitcher but not $$$ like many countertop systems
When the water dispenser on our refrigerator broke, I started searching for a filtration system that would suit my requirements. I immediately learned pitcher type water filters are certainly inexpensive but basically make the water taste and look good while removing a few impurities (which often leech back into the water). I wanted to have a much more robust filtering system that met higher requirements. There was a huge jump in price from pitchers at $30 or 40 dollars to a several hundred dollar investment which would require plumbing, etc. So the Aquasana was a rare middle-of-the-road solution. I have to admit that I really wanted/needed to like this system; the good news is that it has not been an effort to do so. After choosing Aquasana I had to decided whether I wanted the dispenser or pitcher type. I wanted a constant supply of filtered water, not what would fit in the pitcher. Also, it was not important to me that the water be chilled; I was fine with room temperature water over ice. Now that I own the unit, I am extremely happy I made that choice. The potential problems with this entire set-up are the result of removing the tank or pitcher from the unit and replacing it. I have had my unit for several months and have only separated the two pieces once, when replacing the filter. Otherwise, my tank stays put on the dispenser and is refilled via a regular pitcher and a funnel. It can be refilled as often as I like and there is no opportunity for leaks. As long as you put water in, there will always be available filtered water. In other words the dispenser works just as well for one person or a family of eight. I didn't understand what the reviewers meant when they talked about the loud noise. The only time you hear a noise at all is when you push the button to dispense water into your glass. It might last a whopping 15 - 20 seconds and is obviously the sound of a pump forcing the water through the filter. It is not a jolting noise which suddenly occurs with no warning; you are the one controlling it. Replacing the filter does involve removing the dispenser from the base unit; therefore, there probably will be some leakage which I anticipated. I moved my entire unit over to as near the sink as I could so any escaping water wouldn't be a problem. After I finished replacing the filter (a breeze to do), I carefully reseated the dispenser in the "socket" and made sure it was properly aligned. Then I moved the entire unit back to its normal place on the kitchen counter and refilled the dispenser. A blinking red light comes on to alert you the filter will be out soon; when it changes to constant red, it is time to change it out. Depending on use, there will be a few days in between. You will reset the alert by pressing a reset button - very intuitive. This system can be monitored on a Smart Phone though I cannot imagine how it would be necessary - perhaps fun!

Portability and power - exactly what I want in a water filtration system
I looked at all of the options, and read many reviews of other water filtration systems, and feel this one is the best "tabletop" one for the money, short of the far more expensive and complicated types that you hook up directly to your water supply. Another advantage is that it seems to be the most efficient and inexpensive motor powered filter that can be taken on camping trips or even motels in regions with bade water, if there is access to electrical plug ins. According to the advertisements this filters better than any of the "gravity only" types, probably due to the 'industrial' sized filter and powerful water pump incorporated into the system, which also delivers the the filtered water quicker than the gravity type pitcher systems. Some reviewers claim their systems leaked water, while mine hasn't at all for the two months I have had it. I suspect this only occurs with the model with the removable pitcher, so recommend purchasing the the model I have without the removable pitcher unit, that also holds more water. The motor is fairly loud, but this doesn't bother me as it apparently does other reviewers. Some people have complained that the filter unit requires exchanging prematurely, though in the two months I have had it, this has not occurred, and if it does before the six month filter life, I will annotate this review.

Drinking water and coffee taste great!
I bought the Aquasana Powered Water Filtration System from Costco and formerly used Aquasana's auto-ship for the replacement filters. When I saw that I could do the same through Amazon and I switched to using the subscription service so my purchase add to points on Amazon Prime credit card. Now for the filter, I go through 2 pitchers a day (the 8-cup on that fits in my refrigerator door) and this lasts six months. At first when the filter indicator light turned a solid red before the six months were up, I thought, "Well that sucks, this doesn't last for six months after all." I was wrong. After reading the instructions again, when the light is solid red, it means the filter is at 90% capacity; it's when the light starts to blink red that you need to replace it because that means it's at 100% capacity. By the way, I've read reviews of the system where users have had issue with horrible leaks. My system worked fine for the first month and then one day I did get the dreaded leak of water all over my counter and floor. I was trying to think of why this was happening and then realized when I removed the larger 16-cup dispenser to put refill the 8-cup pitcher, I was sliding the pitcher in -- that's what causes the leaking issue. Since then, rather than sliding the dispense or pitching in, I tip the lip of the dispenser or pitcher is tipped down as I put it under the opening of where the water comes out of the filtration dock. That way, I'm placing the dispenser or pitcher down onto the circular valve at the base of the dock instead of sliding it over the valve. This doesn't stop small water drops when I remove the dispenser or pitcher, but it has stopped the issue with massive leaks when filtering water, so I no longer have to stand and watch to make sure the water isn't leaking all over the counter. I can do more important stuff like couch potato "exercising".

Really good filter, leaks a bit, a bit noisy and takes up space. But, otherwise happy!
This isn't your Brita filter. It actually removes a lot more stuff from your tap than any other filter I have used before. I have been using Aquasana for our showers as well. They do have good products. My only 3 complaints are, a bit of water leaks out when removing the reservoir to refill it, it makes way too much noise for the pump to bring up the water to the filter and then your glass, etc. And it takes up quite a bit of space on the counter. To be fair, it does it's job and does it well, every time we pull out the filter, we see what it's covered in! I guess I need to post an image later on to show you guys what I mean. The noise is only annoying if you want to fill a glass at night, otherwise, who cares. Biggest peeve here is when you lift the water container and there is just a tad of water at the bottom, it leaks out no matter what! I hope they get this fixed somehow in the future, maybe have a tube go from the back side and then to the bottom, I don't know. They need to figure this part out. Otherwise it's a good filtering unit and works well. I would recommend.

Works just as advertised, perfect for working from home situations
After reading many of the top reviews, I initially hesitated buying these filters. Thankfully, at that time, the dual-pack was at a great price on Amazon, so I gave it a go. Bottom line: I've gotten 2.5-3 months of moderate daily use out of two of the filters with absolutely zero issues. These generally filter at least 128 oz a day, seven days a week (give or take one day) and work flawlessly. As a matter of fact, I'm about to buy a second pack right now, as I'm now on my last filter. Maybe my tap water doesn't have much to filter out - or maybe I'm using it far less than other reviewers. My guess is that this is a case where those who HAVE had issues decided to write about it here. I have NOT had any issues and can 100% recommend these filters from my experience, no hesitation. Do the math from my daily usage (128x75) and that's how long it will probably last you.

Great taste and easy to use! Worthwhile investment for cleaner water.
Day 1 of having this and we’re liking it so far! I purchased this because I live in an old building. Set up was easy (watch the video mentioned in the instructions booklet). We definitely notice a different taste from both our tap and other purifier dispenser (a common brand found in stores). I was weary of all the reviews here talking about noise - for me the noise isn’t so loud that you can’t hear a video you’re listening to in the kitchen. It’s noticeable but not annoying. Overall, very pleased with taste and dispenser! I also like how big the dispenser is and may consider buying the additional pitcher for my fridge. I’ll update my review if anything changes.

Good filters
I have been using a countertop Aquasauna water dispenser for many years. These are the filters that fit my machine. Although they are not inexpensive, they are a necessity for purified water. I use the water for everyday drinking and my keurig coffee maker. The filters normally last about 2- 2 1/2 months each before the machine indicates time for change. QVC, Aquasauna, and Amazon sells them. I was not impressed with Aquasauna shipping as it took 13 days to receive the filters. During that time, my filter needed changing so I ordered a set of two from Amazon and they arrived within 2 days via Prime shipping. Also, my machine is an old countertop model but, when it dies, Aquasauna's new model uses the same filters. I'm glad I won't have filters sitting around at 2 for $55 which I no longer be able to use.
