Perfect for cabinet and flooring repairs.
I use these sticks to repair wood floors and cabinets. For this purpose there is basically these and one other option found at Lowes. Ive used both, the main difference is that when these melt, the color is truer and solid, you can see any clear liquid. With the Lowes type they aren't solid color, when melted you can see clear liquid and colored liquid. Truth be told, the finished product is almost Identical other than these last longer and you get posibbly 5 times the amount of crayon than with the other type due to shape. Also, these crayons last a looong time, you can literally keep these for years doing repairs before having to buy more unless you are a dedicated repairman or something. I work in construction and usually use these to repair dents or holes even scratches on cabinets and floors. Here's how I use these to the maximum effect Use a flexible putty knife and heat it with a heat gun (hair dryer works too) once hot you melt the color matched filstik to the putty knife and wipe it on to the damaged area. Warm the putty knife again and pass over the area to remove excess. Repeat till satisfaction, sometimes I smear a little bit of stain pen to mimick the color then I spray satin clear over the area so it all shines the same.

Nice set!
Good collection of colors. Many different species of wood colors are incorporated in this kit. Like many others, I found it easier to use a torch and simply melt this product into the areas that need to be filled rather than rubbing them across the surface. Good brand, will purchase another set when needed.

They do the trick on laminate floors
These work pretty well. You must clean first with naphtha and you need a straightedge to level as soon as applied. It has natural, nutmeg, white, maple, walnut, ebony, dark mahogany, etc.....covers the spectrum. You will need a stain marker to finish and blend.

With a little effort, deep scratches will disappear!
Our new floor has a lot of nail holes that we originally intended to be covered by baseboards. We changed to a different baseboard design after installing the floor, and now we are left with a gazillion visible nail holes. I followed the online instructions of someone who repairs furniture professionally: Using a heat gun and a metal putty knife, melt together several different colors of Fill Sticks to create a color that blends well with your wood. Push some of the melted fill stick mixture into the groove or hole and level off. When cool, scrape the surface gently with a credit card or plastic putty knife to remove any residual fill stick, then buff with a cloth. I have been so pleased with the results! Edit:Pictures are of a dent and the order should be 1)Dent 2)Dent covered with melted Fill Stick 3)Scraped and buffed.

Good product for light repairs.
Great product. Waxy enough to apply easily except on soft wood. It does not flake into bits as much as other simular products. Don't be afraid to overlap colors. Use next shade darker than wood color for best match. Easily buffs off if you do not like the result.

Meh…difficult to cover deeper scratches
Very hard crayon style markers

Flawless repair!
This crayon-like product repaired to invisibility a deep gouge in my kitchen cabinets. The Maple color exactly matched. I followed a YouTube video: rub hard and long, then level with a credit card. I wrapped the card in a paper towel, and that helps. You want to build up the gouged area, working the wax into the whole area, and then bring it down to a flush, even surface. After repairing the damaged area, I fixed a lot of small nicks, which took far less effort. It uses elbow grease but it works perfectly!

10/10
This is easily one of the best DIY “fix” items I’ve ever purchased. Our hardwood floors are very soft and have scratched, dinged and dented over time. I hated how you could see everything and these floor crayons helped with it. I was able to use it on some scratches and it helped blend them instead of seeing a light colored scratch against dark walnut floors. It’s not perfect and doesn’t you can still see the dings if you look at an angle since the wax doesn’t fully flush with the floor but it fills it enough and blends enough that to someone who isn’t looking for imperfections, they won’t see them.
