How large are the pills?

The pills are approximately 3/4 inches long and 1/4 inch wide. If you have a hard time with pills you can open the capsules and mix the enzymes with any food or drink and take at the beginning of a meal. This allows the enzymes to be breaking down food in the stomach before it passes in into the small intestine. Hope that helps! The Silver Fern Team

Are these meant to repair, or are they simply supplementing a deficiency?

As we age, our bodies natural deplete of digestive enzymes, making it harder for us to digest foods and absorb nutrients. This product is to help boost your digestive enzymes to absorb nutrients from the food you are eating.
