Absolutely delicious, bought for a gift, ate them all (!) so bought another box for my friend!! Great value.

Good as always. A good variety/selection of deliscious chololates. This is probably the best selection box mix that Thorntons Produce as there is guarenteed to be somethign that everyone likes.

Thortons continental are my favourite Thortons collection, everything tastes great, and the portions sizes are fair when bought on offer.

Grab a seat and a cuppa, this is a long story... This was a very rare treat for us and we were looking forward to getting them for months, since my birthday last year. Thornton's Continentals were a traditional family love token for both of our families, we all knew our own and each other's favourites, Dad knew which one's were made with fresh cream, I knew which ones had the thickest chocolate and we all fought over Diplomat. (Dad always won) My beloved and I have terminal conditions, we allowed ourselves dairy and sugar as this Christmas and last Christmas were spent entirely fighting for his life. This was- according to Senior Consultants- our final Christmas together. Someone had generously said they had ordered hampers of our specialist diet foods, so not to fret about stocking up. Late in the evening on the 23rd, too late to get an order in, she called us to say it was cancelled. This person left him devastated, his condition deteriorated, the floor disappeared from underneath him, he had trusted her, believing his cancer had finally moved her heart towards him and left us with no food at all, gravely threatening my condition, he was devastated, especially because it was his Mum who did it. So we caved and bought our mutual favourites as a very rare treat on the scarce finances we have. Maybe because of all this we had a deeper disappointment, I think it is only fair to give the background. So the 'Knights in Shining Foil Armoir' arrived and we were thrilled, excited as two year olds, Xmas had finally come. Then... The first shock was how much more they cost, for so much less, now. Then the synchronised heart and jaw drop upon opening the box to see more plastic than chocolates. And only one recognisable, the Lemon, no longer Sicillian, his Nonna was from Sicily, looked familiar, but my favourites, Viennese Truffle, The Diplomat, Mandarin Crisp in it's beautiful foil wrap, Marc de Champagne, Vanilla Truffle, Rum Truffle, Alpini, were no longer there. There was a log like one with the same name, but the deep crisp ripples, with 'ET' icing sugar chopped nuts and a lot of the original's size had gone. The taste was sugar, with the odd breakthrough of flavour, we had to stop. Amazon staff were wonderful, thank you Diony, we were able to order a 'cheapo' Happy Belly Box of their own continental chocolates. My goodness, they are gorgeous, they are far superior, absolutely delicious much less expensive and have taken the Crown of our new Treats.👑 It's a good reason to do our best to stick around for next Christmas, our rollover New Year's resolution from last year, which we did! 😉

I am rather disappointed, annoyed even, at the obviously poor Quality AND Condition of this Thornton product. As a regular customer at the Thornton shop in Paisley, Scotland I recalled these items fondly, until now! On opening this package my Wife found some items upside down, thumb/finger damaged, marked and even fusty looking!

Took awhile to get here but it was worth it for such amazing chocolate!
