The Sweet Smell of Christmas: A Christmas Scratch and Sniff Book for Kids (Scented Storybook)

I bought this for my grandson for Christmas as I used to read it to my son. It was always a holiday favorite book!

I had this book as a kid, and held onto it to give to my future child. It was in good condition but the scratch-n-sniff stickers didn't have a smell anymore so I got a new one. This is just like the last one, and my son loves to read it during the holidays. It's a cute little story and has some fun Christmas smells like pine trees, pies, and gingerbread. Would make a great December 1st/Christmas eve box book.

An adorable and fun book with scratch and sniff spots on every other page. Some of the scents are a bit vague but the story is cute and interesting enough on its own to make up for it.

I had this book as a child and have been gifting it to nieces, nephews and their children for years. The scent lasts a long time (for years with resonable use).

I remember this book from the early 70’s. It brought back many memories. The only complaint is the smell of the gingerbread man and hot chocolate have no fragrance.

Sweet memories! I read this book to my daughter several times before every Christmas when she was little. She loved the scratch and sniff and it gave you that warm exciting Christmas feeling. I just bought 2 for 2 of my Granddaughters children. I'm sure they will get as much enjoyment. It's a 'must have' Christmas book.

This was my favorite Christmas book as a child and I bought it for my son this Christmas, in the hopes that he would love it as much as I did. Total disappointment! The stickers barely smell at all (the apple pie sticker not at all!), and the book is brand new. Total waste of money, as the fun is in smelling the stickers!

This is a wonderful story, and though it is older, it's a classic. As many parents can appreciate, there are some stories your children want to hear over and over that are not that enjoyable for the parent to read--this is not such a book. I enjoyed reading the story almost every night leading up to Christmas. I have read on amazon.com that the stickers do not hold their scent very well (and I did find this to be the case with Little Bunny Follows His Nose). The scents are obviously a big part of the appeal, so if the book isn't as fragrant next year I may try to find some essential oils I can add to it. But even if the scents fade, the story on its own is wonderful and something I know my children and I will enjoy for years to come.

Lovely book! Since we received it I have to read it every day to my daughter. She loves the smelly pictures. Unfortunately the smells don't last too long, but it's a beautiful, cute story. Well packaged and arrived on time.

There are countless Christmas books for children out there. But this one is unique by incorporating smells in addition to text and images. This makes it super fun to read as children will love to return to the smell of pine needles, candy cane, and Christmas pie. Amazing!
