is glaze lead free?

This cup is glazed.  In the description "about this item", the words "lead free" do not appear but states it is made of premium ceramic.  It also states for questions contact seller HYTYSKR, which is listed above the price on this item....Brand: HYTYSKR.  Hope this helps.  My husband really likes the size and weight (heavy bottom) of this cup.

Hi.  I checked the mug I have and there is no indication on its base where it was manufactured.  That got me wondering and I found in short order on the ‘Net that the mug’s manufacturer, HYTYSKAR applied for a trademark earlier this year.  The name of HYTYSKAR’s parent company is/was also listed on the application, and may answer your question.  A screen grab of the info is below.

is the bottom flat?  I need a flat bottom mug for my mug warmer.

There is a very minimum and slight indentation on the bottom, but I do not think this would affect your cup getting heated by your warmer.  There is a flat edge around the bottom and then the slight indentation.  You can barely tell it is there.  The diameter of the bottom of my cup is 3 7/8 inches.  I really like this mug. It has a little weight to it but not heavy and is a nice size. Hope this helps.

Does the handle get hot in the microwave?

The handle will get hot in the microwave slowly.

The handle will get a little warm in about 3 minutes, and it will be hot in about 5 minutes or more. We suggest that you wear gloves to remove the coffee cup when it is hot, it is safer.
