Sweet, Coconutty and really versatile syrup!
I have found this to be my favourite monin syrup, it has incredible versatility from using in my coffee, cocktails to being added when making sweet sauces and the like! Yes, it runs a little pricey and very rarely seems to come down in price however I definitely think this is worth the price, its taste is very accurate but it is quite sweet. However I just use it as a treat and it lasts very well!

Lovely for at home cocktail making. Can try the flavours a bit before buying the bigger bottles. Great little recipe card too

Coconut flavour - Yum!
Coconut flavour - very tasty! I use it in coffee and hot milk drinks for myself, sometimes combined with a chocolate drink, probably going to find other places to use it. I had a go at making a homemade coconut syrup, experimenting with dessicated coconut I already had. The flavour was good but it wasn’t a consistent syrup, separating into a thick part which set and a liquid syrup. I have a recipe to make coconut syrup for coffee. But it’s quite involved and now I’ve tried the Monin version, will stick with theirs. I have success with my own homemade caramel syrup though, varying the flavour with vanilla or not. Monin syrups are good quality but expensive, so I’ll keep trying different flavours of theirs over time. I actually ordered 2 of these without realising, the first time I ordered. The coconut had been in my saved list for ages, waiting and hoping for a price reduction. Eventually I ordered it, realising my error when 2 arrived. Luckily, I really liked it, not having an artificial flavour at all, like most. It didn’t take long to use the first bottle and I’m on the second now. I just wish they weren’t so expensive, even though they are a quality brand and nice flavour. It’s a lot to pay, when you don’t get the opportunity to get a smaller size to sample for each flavour. Suggestion to Monin for a selection of tasting bottles in much smaller sizes please?

Taste bitter
Bought to add to coffee, the coconut doesn’t taste like coconut, doesn’t smell like coconut either, it has a bit of a bitter taste.
