Transforms your Leatherman into an everyday carry hero I picked up the Leatherman Pocket Clip & Lanyard Ring to make carrying my Leatherman Wave easier, and honestly, it’s one of those small upgrades that makes a big difference. The pocket clip snaps on securely and holds the tool in my pocket without the need for a sheath, making it easy to grab quickly when I need it (which is surprisingly often when you’re the “fix it” person in your family). It keeps the tool from sinking to the bottom of your pocket and is strong enough that I don’t worry about it popping off accidentally. The lanyard ring is handy if you like keeping your Leatherman tethered, especially if you’re working on ladders or over water and don’t want your multitool taking a dive. It’s easy to install, and once it’s on, it stays put. It said on the leatherman website that the belt clip fits the new leatherman Wave + and not the original. I noticed a recess on my 2nd generation Wave (the one before the wave+) and thought I would try it. To my delight it fits perfectly. Although I hardly ever wear it in my pocket, it does stop it going deep in your pocket and obviously the weight of the tool is supported on your trousers so barely notice it there. The advantage to me is if I pack this in an organiser it stays in the loop via the belt clip. Really good addition to the tool for £6.99

Bought for my wave and both the loop and clip have their uses: The clip stays on there all the time (unless I need to shift a really tight nut with the pliers in which case it can dig into the hand). It is great if you want to carry it in your pocket without the sheath. The clip can also go behind the hook half of the velcro on the nylon sheath meaning that it won't fall out if the velcro is open. The loop is currently attached to my boat. The fast release with the locking mechanism for the smaller tools makes for quick and easy access as well as secure storage - I have tried yanking and wobbling it but have had no problems. The size is also a good compromise for being able to snap onto a carabina without being too bulky. It would be similarly useful for working at height but I don't do much of that. You can put it in the pouch with the ring but it does not fit well. One thing that is worth pointing out: as you are unfolding the small tools on the side of the loop it will unlock. This would only cause a problem if it is under tension at the time but it is worth checking. No such problems with the clip as the tension/friction keep it in place more securely. As has been pointed out, you can't have both attached at the same time. I expect you could take out the standard lanyard loop but I haven't tried and have no intention of doing so.

I ordered this clip atachment to go with the leatherman wave, although I also bought the nylon pouch and the kit to go with it. This clip I now leave fixed to the wave permanently because it looks cool, is great quality and very useful to be able to just slip this in my jeans pocket when I don't require all the kit. Fully recommended, if you've got the wave you have to get this. The lanyard clip that comes with it is not essential as the wave has one built in, but this can be used as an alternative or as an additional for another atachment. In summery, great clip, great quality and very useful.

Nice, easy to fit and makes my leatherman easy to carry

I use the clip,and it works even better that I thought. Carries my Wave securely and deeply in my pocket. Both the clip and lanyard are easily fastened to the multitool,and for the side I'm using it on does not require any tools, such as screwdrivers. I use the clip on the same hand as the straight knife, carrying the knife tip up. If you mount it on the oher side you will need a torx key with a hole in the middle. Don't use thelanyard ring, but I tried to fasten it. Seems to work well, but as I don't use it I wouldn't know for sure.

A nice perfect fit pocket clip for your Leatherman. I got this for my wave+ with the same color and it simply snaps into place. Now I can pocket carry my Leatherman properly with out digging into my pocket whenever I need to use my tool.
