Lindy 0.5m IEC C14 to IEC C13 Extension Power Cable, Black

These cables are perfect - hence 5 stars. 2 connectors and a bit of wire. Perfection should not surprise anyone. I will explain what I mean: I've found that the C14 (shrouded) end of at least one other brand does not make a perfect contact with the power source (a UPS in my case, so obviously critical). You can tell there is a problem when the C14 (shrouded) connector makes a crackling sound if you wobble it around and it seems impossible to seat it so that it does not wobble. These Lindy cables do not suffer the defect. So this is a positive review about something negative.

It's a 2 meter IEC extension lead which means I can use my appliance an additional 2 meters away from where it was before! Does the job well.

Bought 6 of these for use with a new APC UPS, the sort which *only* has female IEC power sockets on the back, and no 3 pin UK mains sockets. Since these cables are a good price I though it preferable to buy a complete set of new mains cables rather than trailing a 6-way mains block off the UPS. They're good quality solid moulded connectors, and it's nice that these cables come in a variety colours as I now know that red=UPS cable, making it easy to distinguish UPS cabling from unprotected mains cables. One thing I would suggest to anyone buying these is to actually measure the length of cables you need rather than guessing, or assuming that "2m is probably long enough". I realised too late that one monitor is about 2.5m from the UPS, so I've had to chain two mains cables end-to-end for that one.

These are only 0.75m2, but for 13A, I would have expected thicker gauge wire.

Good cables that create a secure connection. And should you be wondering about the copper quality, all of the cables I received (0.5m, 1m & 2m) are constructed with H05-VVF 3G 1.0mm² wire.

Great cables, connected my Synology NAS with APC UPS and worked a treat. Cables are solid and premium quality, will buy more in future.

This is a standard IEC cable but coloured. When working with multiple mains leads in the back of a network rack, it is hard to explain just how useful it is to have different colours. One for storage, one for network and so on. As with all Lindy stuff, quality is good and the price is sensible.

Purchased this and another colour for my mono-block amplifier's to replace the standard black leads. As they have an additional AC output for connecting other equipment, I used one as it was to connect both amps together, then fitted a UK 3 pin plug to the other one, connecting that to mains supply. Being coloured, they stand out well as part of my audio set up. They are great value, good, molded plugs having male and female at opposite ends. I am confident they will last, as they look and feel good quality at a very good price. Highly recommended.
