- Origins Ginger Essence Perfume | With Notes of Bergamot, Lemon & Lime, 3.4 Fl Oz

This is super fresh. A punch of ginger for sure but with a mix of citrus! Definitely a spring summer time scent! More on the herbal clean side. But definitely fresh and lovely!

I got a bad bottle from this site in July 2025--smelled mostly of alcohol and the faint ginger didn't last. I contacted the company to ask if the formula had changed or if I had been scammed. They assured me that the formula had not changed. I sent them photos of my bottle and they sent me a replacement--and it smells wonderful, just as it has for the last 20 years. I am so happy to have contacted them. Five stars because they were lovely about replacing the bad bottle and because I love this scent.

My favorite citrus fragrance of all time - so refreshing, and ginger makes it all the better. Buy as many of the ginger products as possible so the layering effect will work its magic.

Love the ginger scent!

This fragrance literally smells so nice! The top note is an extremely fresh and light floral/tea-like scent which settles into licorice and ginger base notes. I get the tiniest hint of lemon and lime (maybe bergamot? - actually I think the floral top notes are probably from the bergamot but it's definitely not strong or heady like bergamot can be). In terms of projection and longevity, it's not great. Unfortunately with really light fragrances, you kind of have to expect both of these elements to be weak since the fragrance notes themselves are so light. This definitely doesn't project and given the fact that not even the base notes are strong, it just doesn't last. That being said, I feel like this is a nice "spray on before bed, close-to-the-skin" scent that feels like being at a quiet, calm, spa. Some people may feel like the price isn't worth it but I enjoy it (and at the time of this review, it's 40 as opposed to 70/80 that I was seeing last year from other $ellers). Overall, really beautiful scent that just doesn't last or project but I think it's worth it!

Unfortunately, the package smelled of the parfum when it arrived and had spilled half of the content onto the packaging. I had to return it and paid 15 Euros extra for the return. That's a real pity! I also was not anymore convinced of the fragrance - I had remembered it more fine and was wondering if this was really the original origins or maybe the spilling happened not by accident? Anyway, won't order again.

It is one of my favourite scent of all time ! I admit I can be a more “classic” girly at times, liking and wearing perfumes such as Chanel Eau Tendre or Libre YSL. However, I have a soft spot for this one. Ginger essence smells spicy, warm yet also fresh. The ginger lemony smell gives off a clean and exhilarating scent. It makes you feel unique since it’s not floral, overly sweet, ocean like or teakwood like. I don’t know if it’s sold as a women, men or unisex perfume. Personally, I think it suits everyone though !

This is one of my favourite fragrances, you can smell the lovely citrus refreshing aromas of lemon and lime with the spicy fragrance of ginger, gorgeous ! I highly recommend this perfume to family and friends,
