This is a very nice set. Great for you or to gift to a friend or loved one who enjoys matcha. Durability: I haven't performed a drop test, however, it has a decent weight to it. Taste: The bowl does not effect the taste of the matcha. Functionality: the spout makes pouring from the bowl into the cup easy.

Love the color, quality, durability and look. It actually makes me feel like I'm in Japan when I'm having me tea now because it just gives that authentic feel of being there.

This set is perfect other than the fact that it didn’t include a mesh strainer. You have to buy that separately. I’m a novice matcha maker but this does the trick. It’s easy to clean as well. Really only need water. I don’t see how matcha sets really differ but this one is solid. No complaints. The green is a subtle color too, nothing too bright.
