I bought this product after experiencing Cold Brew for the first time and I have NEVER looked back. Just today this product died after two years of VERY heavy use. I would brew a 64oz mason jar of Cold Brew twice a week, sometimes 3 times even, without a break and the coffee always came out pure, clean, and free of coffee bean that can sour any caffeinated journey, while maintaining a high quality of flavor that made it through. The Pro's: Easy to use! Just throw it in the jar, add 2-4 scoops of your favorite coffee (I did the Colombian Roast) and add water. Refrigerate overnight for 12 hours and you have a full pot! The Con: Cleaning it was a bit of a pain, though hardly unmanageable, and it did gain some stains from constant use. Good Product, good results, and good coffee, what more can you ask for? Would recommend!

I went through 2 Takeya cold brew coffee pitchers. The fittings and filters lasted, but the Takeya pitchers cracked, turning the whole set into a bunch of plastic trash. I'm trying to get away from plastic anyway (not to mention getting away from buying stuff that will only last a year or two). I love that this is stainless & silicone. I love that it fits a wide-mouth mason jar. I love how well-made it is: the seam is rolled and pressed tightly for a smooth finish, the bottom is fitted securely, and the mesh is very fine. I usually use it in a quart jar for fresher cold brew, but when expecting guests I make 1/2 gallon. Some reviewers say the jar lid can't fit using the gasket, or that the gasket leaks... I never had either problem. I wonder if they noticed that the gasket has a slit? It fits around the upper rim, so 1/2 thickness is between the filter and the jar lid, and 1/2 the thickness is between the underside of the filter lip and the glass jar rim. Clever, and it works perfectly.

Have tried several cold brew “systems” and this tube makes it easy to make consistently good cold brew. It nests in a half gallon mason jar and makes about 50ish ounces of coffee. The fine mesh keeps most of the small coffee particulate matter inside the tube…not quite as clear as straining through paper filters in a cone but it is WAY more convenient. Depending on the amount of cold brew needed per day and how long you like to “brew”, you might consider having two tubes going at one time.

I purchased two of the tube+ for making iced coffee. The quality in craftsmanship and materials is very good. They are well made, sturdy and entirely stainless steel. They come with a gasket which is nice but I dont need them. I used the included instructions for grounds to water ratio and the coffee is delish. Sediment wise, I would say these perform rather well. I have made two full batches with them so far, and there is no taste or feel of sediment or grounds in the coffee, however there is the usual very very fine sediment that will settle to the bottom, but i have yet to find a cold brew filter that doesn't. Whatever they've got going on with this woven pattern thing, it works. These filters are great and I recommend the purchase.

I was looking for a filter to brew tea in my 64oz. Mason jar and this filter is perfect for my needs. It has been 18 months now since I purchased it and I use it every other day to make a fresh batch of flavored iced tea. I also often bring flavored tea at parties and everyone loves it and even bought it after seeing the results. I use Harneys and sons flavored tea, but this works perfectly with any tea, herbal tea or coffee. The mesh is super fine so there is no small leaves that can go through so your tea is as clear and filtered as Starbucks! For some reason, the shape of the filter is not at an angle compared to other conical filters on the market and this one gives me a better brew. Even if I have other filters that are newer than this one, I find myself using this one the most. Don’t hesitate to give this filter a try, you won’t regret it!

Definitely a much more substantial and harder-wearing product than it's much cheaper Chinese-sourced equivalent (I have bought both). However the cheaper one achieves effectively the same degree of filtration, it would appear... I liked the guidance and free downloadable book with this.

Buyer beware. Product fell apart from regular use within the first year. Contacted customer service, was strung along with promises of replacement for over two months. Nothing received and no reply to follow up emails sent over the last couple weeks. UPDATE: After way too long I received replacement. It'll remain unused because the product makes a watery concentrate. I would not recommend this product or company as it lacks product quality and customer support. Good luck finding Mason jars for plus size. So many alternatives that make a much better concentrate.

Cold brew coffee

This was just delivered today and I was eager to try it out. I wanted it for ice coffee and I've been using cheesecloth up until now! This does work as advertised BUT the reviews that mention some grinds/residue appear, are accurate. As soon as I submerged the tube in water, I immediately saw very fine grinds come out. Almost a murky looking water. I just used foldgers regular grind, so you may benefit from a coarser grind. Once it's ready, you can take an extra step and strain through a cheesecloth, but you may have a filmy iced coffee if you dont.
