it's hard to review a surge protector since I hope I never have to find out if it works as advertised. what I can say is installation is a breeze, and I have noticed no drop in signal or picture quality. it should work best if installed just before a correctly installed grounding block. don't expect this to protect against a direct lightning strike as high voltage will just arc across any protector, but it will help against nearby strikes causing lower voltage surges. having your mast correctly grounded will also assist in dispersing surges and may prolong the life of all your equipment including the surge protector. This surge protector comes in a 2-pack which is handy to keep a spare in the event one does get burned out- they are one time protect disposables after all and you will have no signal until it is replaced or removed.

Over the last few months my cable TV service kept turning off with no warning. After much back and forth with the provider, a change of the cable console, and a change of the TV electrical surge suppressor the service continued dropping suddenly as it was before. This ended when I found this cable surge suppressor. I added this to my system and the service stopped dropping suddenly. I must say that I am very happy with the results, and to make things better, this cable suppressor is inexpensive, easy to install, and uses minimal space. Very nice indeed.

I can’t assess its voltage suppression capability but it seems solidly built. A little tall / long. Check measurements as it could complicate coax / antenna hookup.

Glad I was able to stumble across this but wish i had done it before my internet modem got screwed up. We had a lightning storm recently and it damaged our wifi modem, we didnt know that the surge went through the coaxial to damage it until days later. I had my wifi modem plugged in a surge protector and figured it would be safe but I didnt know surges can come through the coaxial line. We had to get a new wifi modem and I installed these on them, now im double surge protected and hope for the best. Dont take any chances, get these and installed them ASAP!

I had surge protector w/o cable connection so I purchased these. Easy to install and hope they work as I had lightning run in on cable that was properly grounded with 8' ground rod and ground clamps.

Well, it took two years to find out if this thing works. The good news is YES, is does work. Our neighborhood had a lightening storm and after, we and our neighbors had tripped gfci circuits in our homes. Also, everyone's internet was out for a couple of hours. When Spectrum said everything should be working, I discovered our modem was not communicating. I removed this surge protection device and our modem came back up and worked fine. I'll be replacing the device, so I am protected for the next storm.

Items were received appearing in high quality and workmanship. A small price to pay for great piece of mind protection.

Looks perfect. To judge if it protects from lightning surges, I have to wait for a decent storm.

These are small enough to not get in the way, they look and feel good. Delivery took ages. Hopefully I’ll never know whether they work- if they do, I’ll not know about it- if they don’t, it will be disappointing!
