These are awful.
But, I knew that going on. I bought these to introduce my daughter to them. These freeze dried lies (astronauts never took these with them into space) are not delicious, the texture is off-putting, and they crumble into bits when you try to eat them. That being said, if you've never had this, you should try it. It was invented for astronauts to use, it's interesting, and your tastes are very likely different than mine (although, that doesn't mean you'll like these). Also, brings me back to my childhood and some gift shop from some museum or aeronautics museum, or maybe the Kennedy Space Center, or someplace that sold these in the 80s ... Disney world? Who knows. Ahhhh, the memories.

Overpriced and too much chocolate taste due to the hard cookie outer layer.
I wanted to like this, because I remembered having astronaut ice cream as a kid at a museum once, and it was so good... this one, well, the ice cream itself is fine... or it would have been fine if it didn't have the outer layer of chocolate cookie glued to it. So all you really taste is the chocolate cookie, can hardly taste any of the strawberry or vanilla. They are also pretty small. I would try to find one that doesn't have the outer cookie layer, because that layer is sooooo hard to bite into, it's even harder than a dry cookie really. The hardness of the cookie also makes it incredibly messy, so you have to eat it over the trash can, or put your face into the wrapper so it doesn't spill crumbs everywhere. Again, without the cookie part, it would have been fine because then it would actually just melt in your mouth... but this won't melt since it has the cookie layer and you cannot separate it from the ice cream, it is like fused to it. So, maybe if you really love chocolate flavor, like if you are the type to eat chocolate flavored ice cream sandwiches, maybe you will like this, but the strawberry is my favorite, and I couldn't taste it with all the chocolate overpowering everything.
