Recent terrible experiences
I've had used Orijen for a few years. My cats eat almost completely wet and organic foods. Suddenly, I've noticed my cats becoming iffy about certain flavors they used to devour from this brand. I thought it may be that they were "outgrowing" them, although it was strange that all of them would reject these certain flavors & deliveries at the same time. Suddenly, the last few months, at least 80% of times, they'd flat out reject all flavors completely or barely touched them. They used to enjoy the chunks and the pates. In the last year, they experienced episodes of vomiting and diarrhea. My cats are happy & healthy with no chronic conditions. They get their checkups regularly. I noticed that one of my cats would sniff and almost makes a gross face and I thought he was dramatic lol. Sadly, I don't think so. The last couple of months, on two separate occasions, I ran out of their other new foods and I had to serve the only flavor that they tolerated to them because I had a can. My cats won't eat but one tried it. The one who had a couple of bites of it ended up vomiting a few hours later and got sick for about a day. I made them chicken on my own and they all devoured it instantly. The vet checked them and said most probably this may have been some sort of food "poisoning." They all eat freshly cooked poultry and from other companies, no issues, no food allergies, no rejection or issues. Yes they have certain preferences, but not ones they get sick with. I don't know exactly what went wrong with this company quality and I can't say for sure, but my babies' terrible experiences were associated with the time(s) they ended up eating this (when even they ate it). I have researched online and found out that the original company was bought out and the recipe somewhat "changed" or something. It seems that some other parents have comparable experiences from what I read on some reviews. What a terrible thing, if so. It used to be a great quality :(

Cats couldn't believe their good fortune and purred throughout eating this.
I never give my cats beef, no vet has ever recommended giviing it to my cats because it is more allergenic for cats than chicken, turkey, duck or rabbit. My cats have even rejected a simple hairball treat that was beef flavored. However, they purred their way throughout while eating this food, which i got as part of a trial survey. I figured what could it hurt, to give them a treat flavor they never get. They LOVED this mix of shreds and chunks. And they've rejected shreds and chunks mixes in chicken! But to be fair, this was not as shredded as the chicken chunk/shred mix., and I only gave them 1/3 can each. Anyway, we were all thoroughly impressed with the consistency and taste, so 4 PAWS UP, Recommended!

Get the pate instead
Cats really didn’t like the chunks- they’d lick out the gravy and fling the beef bits everywhere. They usually eat anything. Love the pate version though.

Current favorite
My cat hounds me every morning, following me from room to room until I feed this food to them. Switched a few weeks ago from a different brand that I had used for a while and there’s no way I’ll be able to fool them with that food now. One can seems to satisfy for the day, despite it being a smaller can than usual. It is pricier than what I used to buy but considering the food is eaten quick and doesn’t stay out, and my car is happier I am glad. No issues with it either - seems just as energetic and healthy as usual if not more so. Quality of the product and packaging also seems good. Overall I am satisfied.

Good quality
Searching for a good quality food that I could feel good feeding it to my cats. Orijens was somewhat affordable and was a good choice as far as the ingredients. Had a real food smell to it. I really wanted my cats to love it but they didn't and wouldn't eat it so I ended up donating to our local no kill shelter. Still searching...

My cats won't eat it.
My cats won't eat this even if hungry. They love Origen but this stuff looks funny to me too.

Good cat food
Great cat food - too bad that only 1 of my 3 kitties likes it. No fault of the food - just picky eaters
