This is a great “gonggi” set that is weighted inside and comes with a carrying case. You will find “gonggi” sets being sold that are really just pieces of plastic and they just don’t work properly - when you toss them, they will bounce all over the place because they are not weighted. So treat yourself to properly made gonggi pieces and get this one instead.

Too light and small.

I had really high hopes for this throwing stone game, especially since my kids are big fans of Squid Games. Unfortunately, it was a major letdown. The entire set is extremely small—honestly, it's even smaller than a deck of cards. The pieces are made of cheap plastic, and they’re so tiny that my kids ended up losing them almost immediately. It doesn’t resemble the traditional flying stone games I was expecting, which are usually much larger and made of sturdier material. If you’re looking for an authentic or playable version of this game, I’d recommend making your own out of wood or looking elsewhere. This one just didn’t deliver.

This is my 3rd set of Gonggi. The first set was a Squid Game replica set that looked nice but was hollow and too light to play the game. They weighed under 2 grams each. The second set was also a Squid Games replica but was weighted with small pellets. These weighed 3.0 - 3.6 grams each. This weight was better and made a playable set but it could be better. They did not stay together and had to be glued. This Leap Fit set is by far the best weighted set, Each piece weighs 6.3 - 6.4 grams. The listing states the iron cylinder weighs 3.1 grams but this is not the total weight, only the cylinder. This total weight of over 6 grams is a good weight for playing. The weights are also very consistent. There is no light or heavy ones to alter your throw. Pieces are well made and don't come apart. They appear 3d printed around the cylinder so there are no seams to break or separate. They come in a case that fits in a pocket to make it handy to take with you anywhere.

Of course I ordered this Gonggi set after watching Squid Games. I've never owned a set so I can't really speak to the weight or use compared to anything else. As far as my opinion, I think this is a great set! It's nicely weighted. It's a game that takes practice but everyone that's played it so far at my house gets addicted really fast and doesn't want to stop. The size is small, easy to travel with and easy to store away. It's nicely made, cute and durable. It's a super fun game and I can't wait to get any good at it! haha.

Gong gi is a fun play alone or play with others game very similar to Jacks but without a ball. Instructions of how to play and variations of play are included inside of the small case along with the 5 "stones". These stones are small enough to easily hold many at a time and have enough weight for control while throwing the stone up into the air to pick up other stones. This is a good game to put in a backpack pocket or to otherwise carry to play on the go. I can see needing to replace Gong gi pieces and sets with frequent play because the stones are plastic and not durable enough to last while being dropped on the ground or another surface frequently.

It is too light.

I wouldn't let my kids watch Squid Games for obvious reasons, but somehow the concept of gonggi made its way into their elementary school. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ My son wanted to play, and we were playing with regular dice but it wasn't quite the same (and dice were really too big for his hands to work with all five dice). These are really cool; weighted, but in a good way, not in a cumbersome way. Super challenging and makes you want to keep trying over, and over, and over! I love anything that distracts my kids from screens! Only the pink was available but my boys didn't even bat an eye; they're just fun to play with!
