I used them with an existing setup. Amazing
I already had a controller and 2x 3802i units that I shelled out $600 for new in the box. The units that came were like new cosmetically and so far have performed great. Thank you for the amazing price.

One unit stuck in a boot loop
One unit works great and deserves a higher rating if it wasn't for the other unit. This bad unit is in a continual boot loop when connected to a LAN. The status signal on the front is a flashing blue light which means that it is trying to perform a software upgrade. Doing some research on this device, there is an errata on this device stating that it is susceptible to a corrupted image during software upgrade via a controller and the only way to correct it is to RMA the unit back to Cisco. I do understand that this is a renewed/refurbished device and that part of this process is to test the device to make sure that it works. I doubt that this was tested because it would have been very clear that this unit does not work so that gets me to wonder how much testing is being done on these units. I also understand that the units are selling for a very good price and if too much time is being spent on testing the units, the price would go up. The very minimal test would be to make sure it boots when connected to a network - gets an ip address and can be pinged - besides resetting the passwords to factory default which can be done with the mode button and not having to boot the device all the way. This purchase makes me wary of renewed/refurbished items in the future.

Not a standalone AP
Standard AP. not standalone you will need a WLC. this a lightweight Ap. description should be clear about this. signal strength is good. throughput is not that good

A beast of a device
If you were to go look up one of these guys brand new and its price then compare a ‘refurbished’…you’d think something was wrong with the refurbished…but YOU would be wrong! Now I’m just now getting started in the IT field so I’m not as knowledgeable as others or as I should be but this has been an awesome and powerful access point to learn and tinker with. The bracket it came with was brand new and since it didn’t come with a power cord I had to use POE to give it some juice which was just fine by me.

Nice gear at a steal of a price!
Bit you will need to spend 16 bucks more on a power cord. I've ordered 2 of these and they have nothing but a bracket and the router. They do take returns. I was sending them both back but now I have decided to keep one of them and buy a cord. So I'll end up paying 50 bucks for a 200 dollar used router. That's not too bad. I wonder if they are hot! Lol
