It was easier to assemble than I had thought. All the parts were there and the pictures and key codes helped a lot. I just could not figure out what #21 was for. Turns out it is to tap in the "Hubcaps" on the wheels. LOL. Reviews that there were no holes to match up for the inside and outside reels is misguided. Pool sizes change. One review also indicated that you could use only 4 reels if you had a small pool. I do not think that is possible being that one goes inside the other. The screws are self drilling. Because the width of my pool is only 8 ft. I had to use the length of the pool for the reel. Works find on the long end too although it might be harder to UNREEL. Folds up nicely. Very happy with this.

Al the pieces for this reel were clearly marked and easy to assemble. Once put together, the reel is lightweight to move and operate but very sturdy and well built. I was particularly pleased to find that one person can easily use the reel. I highly recommend this for price, durability and ease of operation.

I finally decided to purchase this for my pool cover after many months research. Got this product yesterday. Installation was simple. Probably took me 20 min. There are some holes that u will need a small drill bit to drill so you can attach the screw to the tube section. Also when I attach the Velcro strap I had to drill a small hole so I can insert the screw provided to secure the strap. This is a great buy. I also purchased the blue solar blanket and installed it. Works great. Now let’s see how long it will last and I will update it at later date.

Well I was pretty excited to get this swimming pool cover reel made by Splendoress for my brand new cover. I got this particular one because it said it was Amazon's best choice. I opened everything up and laid it all out like it says to in the directions and was missing the 1 screw that holds the crank handle onto the shaft.. So I had to find my own screw to fit it which I was lucky enough to find one. I put it all together and realized that there are only one set of screw holes that are drilled into one side of the tube. Now it says nothing about needing a drill or power screwdriver for the self tapping screws that go on the rest of the tube that has no holes in it. So I tried one of the self tapping screws and it didn't secure it tight. And basically it stripped out the hole and made it too big. And of course with a power screwdriver by the time the screw does get in all the way you've already stripped the hole. It needs more of a delicate touch with some pilot holes and a regular screwdriver so it isn't over tightened. It says on the directions sheet that I only need a hammer and a screwdriver. Really?? Not!! Now as far as putting the straps on you actually have to measure the strap positions evenly but it says nothing about that either it just says stick the velcro on but it doesn't say where. Then it says to reinforce the straps onto the tube with these other screws...which by the way are also self tapping screws. Needless to say, I ended up drilling pilot holes for all of the remaining screws and it worked perfectly. I also measured out evenly across the tube for they strap placements and also drilled pilot holes to hold the straps down with the screws. Now, my solar cover cost me almost $300 because its top-of-the-line extra-heavy. I can't believe that I got such a difficult product to put together...and then being as flimsy as it is for a cover reel. It's sags in the middle because it can't take the weight of my cover. My pool is only 18 x 36 and this real should have been sufficient to hold the weight of this. Now honestly, do you really think that this is that easy to put together? I even watched the instructional video on this and couldn't believe what I was seeing. And whatever these Knuckleheads were saying I couldn't understand it because it was in Chinese. One of the videos didn't even have any sound. The one video with the sound showed the guy just screwing the screws into the shaft with a regular screwdriver...What if I wasn't as knowledgeable about things like this? I probably would have ruined it and asked for a refund. Now incidentally, inside the packet with the instructions is a cash rebate for $10 that is supposed to be easy to redeem if I give you 5 stars and tell how good and how satisfied I am with your product. I will not only leave you a bad review on Amazon but I am also going to do a short video on YouTube and post it on Facebook to tell everybody to steer clear from this product...unless maybe I get an apology and something to compensate me for the time it took me to put it together, which took much much longer than that stupid video. Unless you are really handy and intelligent enough to figure out and troubleshoot things like this you shouldn't buy it. I wouldn't have bought this product knowing what I know now....I'm so disappointed with this product and now I can see why also...it's not made in the USA where we take pride in what we make and build. Not just throw some stuff together as shotty as this. And to be honest I would pay more for something if I knew it would live up to my expectations...

This is very lightweight, requires 2-3 people to roll and unroll pool cover. Attempted to do by myself and it’s so lightweight that just pulling cover to put on causes it to fall over. Need a person on each end to hold while a third person pulls out cover(to put on). Takes 2 people to take off, 1 at each end to roll end and keep from tipping over, takes extreme strength to turn wheel once cover is half way rolled or more.

I was impressed by this pool reel. It was pretty easy to put together however is wasn't a quick assembly. Everything fit well and was very sturdy when finished. There were tools for putting the wheels on that made it easy and it seemed the instructions were well thought out. I recommended this reel to a family member who was happy with it as well.

First of all, the instructions are terrible so WATCH the video before you start. I made the mistake of not doing that. Secondly, you WILL NEED an electric screwdriver or drill. There is no way on gods green earth your getting those screws in the tube without one. Thirdly, this thing is cheaply made, so if you pool cover is a thick cover, this wont work. The whole thing tips right over into the water when winding or unwinding unless your pool is very small. I would return it but after 2 hours of putting it together, I'll eat the money.

My husband watched the video and found the installation to be easy. The product works great and is easily operated by one person. The shipping was very fast.
