Let me start off by saying I wasn’t expecting much for this cover since we had purchased a blue cover at a yard sale however my wife insisted. I was wrong. When we got the cover it was lighter than expected however much stronger than the previous cover. We read somewhere the clear cover allowed more sun through to heat the water so we decided on clear. The cover was easy to roll out and so easy to cut to our oddly shaped pool size, a pair of good scissors worked fine. Very rugged material that would not tear but easy to cut. Once we got the cover in place the temperature during the day was in the mid 90’s and sunny and dropped to the upper 50’s at night. In two days the pool temp stayed in the upper 80’s and didn’t fall like it normally would to the mid to low 60’s to match close to the night temperatures. We got at least another month out of enjoying the pool. Hope it helps to reduce evaporation also. We had a lot of rain, for Arizona, 5 inches within a week and I was worried the cover might sink however it shed the water over to the edges and back into the pool without a problem. Was not affected by wind either. Two bad thins, the pool service requires us to remove the cover befor they will service the pool so we remove it on the day they come and put it back later. The other thing is one of our dogs tried to walk on it and it held long enough for us to get him. The dog had never went near the pool before so please be careful. Excellent product and would recommend it highly.

We ordered the clear so we could see what was going on in the water below. It was easy to cut it to size; I layed it on across the peanut-shaped pool, marked the edges of the pool with a blue non-toxic felt-tip marker, then cut with scissors. Had to trim up a few places that were not laying flat on the water, but it was very easy to shape it to the pool. Our only problem was that when removing it, it gets dirty water on top and is very heavy. So this spring we decided to cut it in half to make it easier to handle. It works well and husband and I can each take a side and walk it to the end. You get some leaves falling through where we cut it but they are easy to scoop out. It does a good job of warming the pool but we have trees so lots of leaves landed on top and made a mess during the fall. Our pool man said it would not help in the winter and would not let the skimmer do it's job of sucking in the leaves, so we removed it to make it easier to clean the pool. When spring arrived we put it back on and it brought our pool up to 85 degrees in a few days of warm 90 degree weather. The air temps cooled back down to normal but the pool remained fairly warm, around 78 degrees but too cold to swim for me. We are happy with it and it seems quite heavy duty compared to the blue covers we saw at the pool stores for quite a bit more money. To store it, we fold it in 2 halves and place in the center of a large brown tarp, cover it with the tarp and weight it down to keep it out of the sun. We expect it will last a few seasons in the AZ heat if we keep it covered , but you never know.

When I first got this, I had high hopes that it would keep my Florida pool warm enough to swim in during the cooler months. It fit in pool ok. I bought a roller because it was cumbersome to try to fold. My mistake was buying it after the pool water already was cooler. I quickly figured it’s better used to keep heat in or in conjunction with a pool heater to conserve energy. It did raise the pool temperature but only by a few degrees. I decided it would be better to start using it before it got cold. Fast forward to this fall. Determined to keep the pool warm I put it on the pool a few days. I took it off to swim in and I didn’t notice any water temperature difference but I did see what looked like bubbles on the water. On closer inspection it was the plastic from the bubbles in the liner, already deteriorated and falling off. Took me forever to get them all out of the pool. Won’t be using this microplastic nightmare anymore. I won’t have deteriorated plastic all in the pool and waste time cleaning it every time. Also it probably works less than it already did. Didn’t even last a full year.

We live in Hawaii but do not have a pool heater. I like to keep our pool about 86 and sometimes, in the winter months, we need the pool cover. We have had quite a few of these covers but this last one we can see some of the "bubble" data floating around in the pool after less than one month. I hope this cover does not deteriorate quickly. It does heat our pool up nicely, though. I'll update my review as the months go on.

Great product. I like how thick and sturdy the blanket feels. It heated my pool up more quickly than other blankets I have had in the past. I hope it lasts for years!

Quality looks to be very good. Thick strong plastic with bubbles on one side and the other side flat. Good that it is Canadian made! Price excellent for the quality - better than others that I studied online and in-store. It arrived very quickly and was wrapped well in a 18 x 48 inch roll. It was easy to trim to size with heavy scissors.

La calidad del protector es buena, al ser transparente permite el paso de la luz lo que calienta mas el agua del alberca sin que se pierda temperatura. Bien empacado y en buenas condiciones, completo y sin rasgaduras.

Was delivered today, taken out of the box and straight on the pool. Quality is pretty good, better than our last which is galling apart. The seams are good and tight.

Can’t believe how much better and stronger it is compared to the previous blue one I had ! Love it !!
