I’ve purchased a few jewelry cleaner machines and have had to return all of them because they jiggle the jewelry which could cause prongs to come loose and overall yield no results. Items still looked dirty. I took a chance on this little steamer unit, bought the used option on Amazon and also bought ribber tipped stemostat scissors. The machine does come with tweezers, but I just found it easier to hold items with $7 stemostats. The bad reviews of this steamer do not seem accurate. I have not noticed any fire hazard, and I have not found another steamer on Amazon for this price range. It’s super easy to use and very safe as long as you don’t touch anything while it is hot, which is just using common sense. No leaks and no issues. The steamer is compact enough to put on a counter without taking up a ton of space. I appreciate the advice from reviews about using distilled water. I will look into that. Overall, this is a definite must have machine, and a MUST HAVE for life. I appreciate the makers of this machine.

I love the Steamfast Jewelry Cleaner. I was constantly stopping at my usual jewelry store to have my rings cleaned. I went there so many times that I was surprised they didn't charge me. I found this cleaner on Amazon and decided to give it a try. To my surprise it worked and my rings looked as good as when the jewelry store cleaned them. The best part being that I could use it at home anytime I wanted. I have had so many people notice my jewelry and ask me how I keep them so clean and sparkly. I love, love this product!

I put this unit near the front counter of our retail store for finishing when we are cleaning jewelry for customers to replace another unit after 8 years without having to spend the money on a larger professional unit. This unit has a great design, the LED light under the lip that shines onto the jewelry is a great addition to a steamer. The push button on the top works perfectly the unit is solid and stable enough you do not need to worry about pushing down. The on off button with reheating within a minute or so is awesome! We can turn our unit off when we do not have customers in once it heats up and through the day we just switch it back on when we put things in the ultrasonic and by the time it it is done in there the unit is hot and ready to go. This unit has a great pressure output for a really good length of time. It is the closest in a smaller unit like this I have seen to a professional steamers performance. It leaves jewelry looking professionally cleaned every time. This unit is built well it is a nice thick solid plastic with a stainless tank. The body of the unit does not get hot. Nice and Solid.

I just used it for the first time. It seems to have good power and heat. It did a very credible job on one of my rings and diamond earrings. There may be a learning curve for other items. It heats up quickly. Instructions are clear. My only complaint is the design. Why could the tank not have had a see through water fill line ( like every coffee maker has) so i do not have to wait 30 minutes after each use and then empty it, which we are instructed to do after each time use so we don’t chance not having adequate water for the next use or overflowing it. Also, emptying the tank is a bit awkward and a waste of the remaining distilled water. I will look at other designs to see of I can find one more user friendly in which case I’ll return this one. It’s too bad bc I if not for the design, I’d love it.

Been using it for a few weeks. Heats up very VERY! fast. You're really limited to cleaning one piece at a time with a brief delay while the pressure restores. You'll be impressed by the pressure and strength of the stream of steam. If you run out of water you should really wait for the whole unit to cool before refilling it for two reasons. 1. You might damage the heating element pouring cold water into a hot tank. 2. The cap will cool at a different rate of speed so if you put a cold cap on a hot tank it will leak a little until you let them both cool and tighten it properly. P.S. Using rubber tipped tweezers give you better grip that doesn't leave scratches.

Although the company agreed that both the original steamer and the replacement one they sent were defective (1st one worked once, 2nd one wouldn't even turn on), after receiving two defective products, we requested a refund. We were told that the company could not issue the refund because we had bought the item through Amazon. They were willing to sell (not provide) us another similar product. Disappointed that they were willing to use Amazon to sell the product but then not stand behind the product because we bought it using Amazon. As part of the process to get the first replacement we had to send a photo of the steamer with the electrical wire cut off. We asked that they test the replacement to be sure that it worked, but the replacement steamer did not work either.

So far so good. We purchased a $280 jewelry cleaner and it broke in less than 30 days, so we ordered this one to use temporarily until we could find a better one. This one has done so well, we decided to keep it as our primary. It doesn't have a jewelry cleaner, which we miss, but it works really well so we just clean the jewelry manually now with windex and a soft automatic toothbrush. Works like a charm.

Piece of crap. Already dead after ten months. Hasn’t even been used for a year.

Great machine, I’m using it to clean any rings I polish. Overall it’s great for the price and would buy it again. The only problem is the silicone seal. It broke within my first use. So I just bought silicone and glued it there to keep any access steam inside. I hope they create a better sealing method, but for a more professional setting don’t buy this.
