The pets love it. Sleep on it eat on it I’m thinking about a few more. Shake it out and wash it with soap and water and shake the water off. Easy clean up. My dog likes it inside or outside. He is a big watch/farm dog too. It traps the dirt, dust and manure. I got it for the kitty litter box lol! Bonus easy on bare feet that are garden dirty and don’t have to put it in the washer to clean it and it still looks pretty after. Holds a lot of dirt, is thick and soft

I ordered this product to keep the cat litter where it is supposed to be.It is working very well.The size is just what I was looking for.

Moved into a temporary place while moving for work pre-lock-down, and discovered that it was fully carpeted in any area a cat box could go. Having had cats for a while, young or old, and knowing there are bound to be misses and over-burying, I needed a solution to protect the carpet from damage. My solution included a large office chair plastic mat, with this trapping mat on top of that, and an open-top cat box positioned topmost. Just now getting out of temp space, but have had a long time now with the mat. On the Pro side - it does a really great job of capturing and containing the litter that normally sticks to paws. Almost none escaped the area. When over-burying events have occurred and they dump a large amount of litter over the side and then walk on that, again there is great containment. Lastly, the two times there have been urine accidents, the mat did a fantastic job of containing that as well. One of the times based on where the source of the accident was, although the mat didn't contain all of it, it kept any large, rapid flow from happening, and attracted the spillage to go under the mat (which was on the plastic chair mat) - so no leakage to the carpet. On the neutral side. As others have mentioned, cleanup isn't as straightforward as running a handheld vacuum over it. I would also say that even an upright isn't going to cut it. I did find that a proper clean of the mat when dry required treating it like any other rug and taking it outside, doing a heavy shake, and then a few hits with a broom to get litter all out. If wet, it required a hose to "power wash" it down. Fortunately it dries pretty fast in the sun. I am not sure what I would do to properly clean this if I didn't have an outdoor space. Bottom line - great product.

This mat is big enough to place our cats' tote-sized litter box on top with plenty of room in front to catch any litter they track out. It works well, and the flat spots between the "diamond" shapes actually make it easier to sweep up and clean the litter the mat has captured. We've had the mat for two months and it still looks brand new. I sometimes take it outside to shake out any trapped litter, which works great. It's good quality, does what it's supposed to do, and I highly recommend this cat litter trapping mat. ***UPDATE*** This mat lasted my two cats nearly a year before molding/discoloring underneath (sits in a steamy guest bathroom... fair enough), and I recently ordered the large (L) replacement, rather than the original XL size, even though they both have XL in the name. The larger mat absolutely dwarfs the next size down, which is so small it's pretty much worthless and barely captures any litter from our cats' paws at all. I just measured it, and I got a full inch smaller in both length and width than is advertised. My advice? Do yourself a favor and spend the $2 for the largest size because the next size down is a complete rip-off. It's been used for a few days or I'd send it back. The smaller size is an overpriced waste of money, especially compared to the XL size. I hope I help someone save money with this review and get a better value for their dollar, because the largest size has served us well.

I purchased two mats of different sizes: a small one for my cats water bowl and a large one for her litter box. PROS: The color is perfect and matches my home nicely. Sizes provide ample room for the cats messiness without getting in the way. Small spills stay on mat. Mats are very durable. CONS: Liquid spilt under the mat will be trapped there. Dry messes on top can be shaken, but usually need vacuuming to get it completely clean looking. If the top of the mat has any dampness (from cleaning OR diarrhea), clumping litter will clump into the textured top. I don't have access to an outside hose, so I found myself scrubbing into a large bucket for several minutes trying to get all the mess clean with very little success. I'm shopping for a new mat because this one is so difficult to clean.

It captures a lot of litter and it's very easy to lift and shake out. It has a good weight to it and it's thick and feels durable as well as waterproof. It was rolled up when it arrived, but it flattened out really well. I was nervous my cats would dislike the texture of it, but they don't seem to mind it, and it catches a lot more litter than others I've tried in the past, so I'm glad they didn't reject it.

I am pleasantly surprised by this mat because it actually works. It traps 97-98% of what our kitten tracks. I'm using Dr. Elsey's kitten litter which is a clay clumping litter and really fine. If you lift it up the particles will come out of the creases and you can easily vac them up. I keep a Shark handvac nearby. It does what it says
