I ordered this after reading several reviews and looking at pictures. I only used a tiny bit on top of grey fondant accents. It made the grey fondant accents pop with silver color. Went on easy with a paintbrush. I would recommend if applying it directly to the cake that you protect the areas you don't want colored with it. I didn't think of this and after brushing it on one fondant accent the area below it had a light dusting of silver. It did the job and the cake got several compliments.

I needed a silver that would look like metal and this worked perfectly. I applied it using lemon extract flavoring. The picture shows the sheen when applying on white fondant. I applied a lot of the luster to have full coverage but it was also possible to apply less to have more of a sheer effect. The amount used for this cake barely made a dent into the luster bottle; a little seemed to go a long way.

Perfect for making any dessert look nice and metallic. The price was great and the shipping was pretty fast. The pigment is nice and vibrant too so you don't have to use too much product at once. Highly recommended for using on macaron shells or to dust fondant and cake pops.

Im writing this review to warn you not to use on items that will actually be eaten. It is non toxic but not made for consumption. This is to be used on gum paste and fondant that will be for decorative purpose, it is safe to come in contact with food, once dried it doesnt transfer. I did not realize this, started painting my chocolates, and then couldn't find an ingredients list. I called the company and they explained that they don't have one, and that is not made to be eaten. They went ahead and refunded me right away which I appreciated very much. That being said, the print worked well on the few pieces I painted came out nice. I set the brush lightly in vanilla extract and dipped it in the gold. Then I went over it with a dry brush dipped in the gold. The first one is a caramel chocolate and was a beige color, the middle and left are hersheys chocolate. First pic no flash, then with.

First experience with Luster Dust. This absolutely makes the perfect silver. I did mix it with everclear and paint onto cookies (the alcohol evaporates in case you didn't know). Made gorgeous cookies!

The gold is much better, and has a much more metallic and shiny finish. The gold also requires a lot less product to achieve its effects. But it does accomplish what it's supposed to, and give you some silver shine.

The silver left us can we apply dry or using a liquid like lemon extract or vodka and either way it had really great coverage and provided a nice rich deep silver color that was very bright and shiny. I'm very happy without performed and would absolutely use it again. I used this to color fondant letters for a cake and they came out fantastic.

As usual, this stuff lives up to its name. Super shimmery and lovely on baked goods, chocolates, etc. I even add it to cocktails to get a silvery swirl.
