The seeds have an unusual taste, but the caramel coated kind are tasty with a great crunch
That faintly bitter fishy taste is really mellowed by the crunchy caramel coating. I love these crunchy no oil added snacks. Full of healthy fats that make a small serving very satisfying.

Super delicious
I am always looking for a low G.I. index and high protein snack. I really love these a lot. It makes me not miss the praline pecans at Costco! These donโt cause a problem for me with the hypoglycemia I battle on a daily basis!

If you like dank, musty tastes
If you like dank, musty tastes, this is the snack for you! I've been hearing great things about this brand and type of seed for awhile now and finally decided to try them myself. As someone who enjoys the keto way of eating, I figured this would be a perfect snack for me. Upon opening the bag, the aroma was overpowering and not in a good way. Think tidal, seaweed-y. As if I wasn't already put off enough by that, I took ONE seed and popped it in my mouth. As I began to chew, I started to gag as the flavor I can only describe as dank, musty, earthy began to overtake my entire oral cavity. I quickly washed it down with some iced espresso that I thankfully had right next to me and I have to be honest and say that even that didn't take the disgusting flavor away. These are a hard no for me and I can't imagine anyone actually liking these. As far as I'm concerned, the Amazon jungle can keep them!

Nice to have another nut free option
Only recently having given up nuts, I can say that I miss them in my usual recipes - baked goods, pancakes, Pad Thai, yogurt topping. Yes I have used sunflower and pumpkin seeds and they are adequate in many cases, but Starseed broadens my options. The taste is somewhat like peanut and I grind it up to top seed butter on my apple slices. I've used it in nut-free energy balls, which used to have walnuts in them. It's a somewhat expensive alternative, so I personally wouldn't just eat them by the handful, but I think they're a healthy and interesting addition to my newly nut-free world.

5* for healthiness, but 2* for taste & 1* for packaging
This is a great idea. The protein/fiber content is excellent. ๐ But this flavor is really not very good at all. ๐ They are just edible. I might try another flavor. But the plastic padded shipping envelope *reeked of some kind of fragrance, like a dryer sheet!* What's up with that?? ๐ I could smell it on the surface of the product package itself - but thank goodness it didn't seem to penetrate to the inside. Also, there are some errors in the unit prices and package weights in the two different quantities. It's very confusing as written.

Yummy alternative to nuts, chips or popcorn
My son can not have corn among other things so we are always looking for healthy snacks. These were delicious, have a great crunch but not too hard. They were ok to take to camp for a snack as there were a few kids with nut allergies. We canโt wait to try the flavored ones next.

My new favorite nut!
I recently started hearing a ton about sacha inchi nuts (seeds?) on a bunch of health blogs. Decided to give these a go. They remind me of peanuts... but creamier. And not only are they creamier than peanuts, they're WAAAY healthier, too. Fist off, they are a complete protein. Meaning you get all of your essential amino acids from them (unlike peanut butter). They are also very high in Omega-3 fatty acids (unlike peanut butter, which tends to lean very heavily into Omega-6). Definitely adding these to my snacking regimen from now on!

Sacha Inchi Sea Salted Seeds
I figured I would try these because they might help with the keto diet. While the nutrition is wonderful the taste is like eating bland, dry, stale bread that had a hint of spoilage. Not that they were spoiled, they just didn't taste very good! Might I suggest, coating or dipping them in something like good quality chocolate without all the high fructose CORN syrup and added sugar. Maybe in cinnamon, stevia with coconut oil. In trying to make them taste good don't under mind the reason people purchase them in the first place. I reminded me of the old pea protein shakes... yes, that is they way to describe it!
