Doesn’t immediately get detected by iOS operating system
I previously wrote that it does not work. After talking to Apple who acknowledged the problem is the operating system as the same problem occurred with their SD card reader. Initially, I could not even examine the card, but using a trick Apple showed me, I can reboot the iPad with the multi-port adapter and SD card installed, then read the card through the files program; just like you would with a laptop. After following the new procedure, this is a very nice and useful device.

Must Have.
Love this. Haven’t tried all the ports yet but I love the variety and the multiple USB ports. It has the HDMI port as well so I don’t have to get an additional adapter for my MacBook. Rose gold metal matches rose gold MacBook Air PERFECTLY 😍. A smidge pricey but the brand came highly recommended and I prefer durability over cheap affordable products. Fingers crossed it keeps up the good work!

Hot, Hot, Satechi
Wow, does this get warm when plugged in. I elevate it to give it some air flow underneath. Otherwise, it works well. I haven't had any problems with connection to a Macbook Air, 2 external hard drives, ethernet, or power source. I'd buy it again. Update: 9/15/22- Satechi is still working fine. No problems.

It's not heavy, but not the lightest either, which is a good thing. The product seems built to last (at least in terms of computer stuff). It works well and looks sharp.

Essential Gear if you have a MacBk with only a few USB-C/Firewire ports.
Extremely handy enhancement of my Mac Book Pro. I wouldn't leave home without it!!

Runs Hot. Sticks with Logitech peripherals
Can confirm what others have said - the device seems to run hot. Also, keyboards & mice connected via logitech wireless receivers appear to be temperamental. My machine reports that "PC Isn't charging" - but at least it does not appear to be losing power either. Not sure what to make of this as yet.

I read this item was very good and tried it. So far so good. It has all the ports I need and may need. One never knows. The Rose gold matches my MacBook Air perfectly.

Ohne jetzt groß auf die Vielzahl der gleichartigen Hub's einzugehen, habe ich mich für diesen hier entschieden weil das gesamte Paket einfach passt. Im Vergleich zu anderen war dieser Hub sowohl in Verarbeitung und Qualität einfach besser. Positiv: + Haptik & Qualität ist sehr gut + alle Anschlüsse sind durchgängig & parallel nutzbar + keine Verbindungsabbrüche + Design & Gerätefarbe passend zu Negativ - Objektiv gesehen ist der Anschaffungspreis im Vergleich zu anderen Hub's sehr hoch

Schönes, aber recht hochpreisiges Teil, Wird bei Benutzung sehr heiss(?) Die Kartenslots sind nicht feinfühlig gearbeitet, etwas Fummelei ist nötig. Trotzdem guter Kauf

Immidiately convinced it does not work. Purchased for Apple Macbook air based on the recommendation. With kids doing full time school activities from home, dock is expected to use for many hours a day for most of the week. The dock is heated up in 2-3 hours. So, mine is returned within 2-3 days of purchase!
