A great mandolin capo
I have tried many brands and types of capos. (Sometimes you just have to need one) Those for Ukes, Banjos, Mandolins and Guitars. I found, for capoing my Eastman MD 814 Oval Hole Mandolin, this one (D'Addario Mandolin Pro) works best. It is slim, with a low profile, and light weight. It grips the strings securely, no buzzing on the lows. I install it so the adjustment screw is on low string side. It can be installed with a slight angle to the fret wire, without effecting the sound quality and giving me more hand room. A great buy compared to other brands I have tried.

It's so tiny!!
"It's so tiny!!" was the first thing out of my mouth when I got this in the mail. It is so tiny compared to a guitar capo which is what we were used to. The craftsmanship is top notch, the thing is indestructible. It really is perfect for a mandolin (which is what we have) and its so nice to have one that is no larger then it needs to be! It is incredibly low profile and does not intrude on your play-ability. Works great for what its made for! The fact you can twist the knob and have it basically lock down is great as well since it makes the hold really secure. With guitar ones I have seem them wear out and not clamp down hard enough. I feel like because of how this one tightens that it will never lose its ability to grip the strings. Only one negative: It would be the same as its greatest strength. It is tiny! I would imagine it being super easy to leave on a table or put in a pocket while not in use and then forget where you left it. As long as you put it in your case though you will be good to go the next time you need it!

Great quality, Perfect Size
This capo is the perfect size for my standard-sized mandolin. The twist-tighten style is great because you can tighten it enough to get the sound just right, and is narrow enough that you can move it to the exact spot in the fret that will give you the ideal intonation for your specific instrument, without getting in the way of your hand. It also has nice padding on the undersized so as to not scratch the delicate coating of the wood. I really enjoy using this capo and appreciate that it allows my mando to maintain a beautiful tone/sound even when used higher on the fretboard.

My goto capo on my thick necked banjo.
Actually surprised how much I like this capo. I have a number of others, mostly Shubbs (original and deluxe) and I like them just fine as well as a G7. I have one banjo, an 80's Washburn B-18 archtop that has a very thick neck and none of my other banjo capos work well on it...always feels like the clamp is going to squeeze too hard. I've used a guitar capo on the B-18 for awhile, but never felt it did the job very well. For some reason, this little, light weight capo, clamps nicely onto the B-18 neck without a problem and with minimal effort. It's so small, I often forget to take it off before I put my banjo in it's case, but that's just a habit thing I need to work out. While I'm playing, does fit nicely into my jeans pocket-watch pocket (the small pocket inside your right front pocket) and I can also straddle it's "U" shape between two resonator holes, though your mileage may vary on that...and if you try that, be careful it does not slip its way into one of the holes falling into the resonator itself...I've come close, but know how to avoid that now on my banjo.

Precision instrument
This is an awesome capo. As a guitarist, I have used an assortment of capo's over the years including the popular and convenient Kaiser and the legendary Shubbs. Earlier this year I decided to learn banjo and when I was purchasing accessories I decided to try a capo brand I had seen quite a bit of but never used. There was a special where if you bought it along with a snark tuner, you'd save a few bucks, so I took the plunge. The first one that came with the tuner was broken. It was missing the adjustment knob needed to use the unit. So far I was not thrilled with my deviation away from a Shubbs capo. Amazon fixed the situation and a new one was on the way right away. (FYI - Amazon made it easy to return the old one.) Once I had a chance to try the replacement I was blown away. The design is really smart. I didn't realize how much of an impact that additional pressure has on intonation until I used this capo. I highly recommend this capo for your banjo. I still love my Shubbs capo's and will continue to use them but this capo has shown me there can be more than one perfect design. This unit works exceptionally well and has a super low profile which I am sure many players will appreciate. My only enhancement suggestion would be to also make this capo in a bright color like white, orange, or yellow so it would be more difficult to misplace.

Easy to use mandolin capo
Fits well. Backup in case a called tune is in a key for which I haven't yet internalized the mechanics of fretboard for that key.

viel zu klein
An welches Instrument dieser Kapo passen soll, wรผrde ich gerne wissen. Deckt am Travel-Banjo keine vier Saiten ab. Nicht mal an meiner Sopran Ukulele ist er verwendbar.
