Lavanila - The Healthy Deodorant. Aluminum-Free, Vegan, Clean, and Natural - Vanilla Coconut 2 oz

I'm 37 now, and I have never ever before found a deodorant that works, and I've tried so many things that I've gone so far as to try fish-tank bacteria from the pet store! I am amazed. What's just as amazing is that the scent is totally agreeable to me. (Vanilla Coconut) Strangely, when I first opened it, I thought oh, I can't do this scent, no way, too powdery. Well, thankfully, since it got such good reviews and I'd paid so much and bothered to order it, I decided to try it out anyway. As soon as it went on, I was surprised that I suddenly thought the smell was actually just fine once on me. A little while later and ever since, I've liked the scent on me more than any other, ever. I smell like "me," but good! Wow. It lasts all day. Now for the downsides, I've had my pit hair grown out while trying this and it is kind of pasty-gunky in my hair but not so bad, it does sort of work itself in after wearing for 20 minutes or so. Still can leave a white residue on clothes, which you can also rub away to a degree if it's noticeable. It's very comfortable though. It feels good on, not sticky or slimy or cakey or anything unpleasant. Overall I'm in love. Update: I wanted to also say that even my CLOTHES do not have a trace of stink in them when I use this, which is incredible. And I got super anxious the other day, which always produces the most abominable stench, unconquerable by any product... and this one kept my pits smelling totally sweet. Unbelievable. Where has this been all my life?!

I have dealt with underarm irritation since I've been shaving...for almost 20 years! I've been so self conscious about it. But that's not why I tried Lavanila. I bought it because I wanted to try something more natural with the hopes it would actually work against body odor and sweating. I have known that traditional deodorants I've used were bad for your health (cancer risks, aluminum, chemicals, etc) so let me clarify that is why I tried this product in the first place. Plus the vanilla coconut scent sounded interesting. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever consider that the red bumps under my arms from shaving were caused by the deodorant I used but I'm telling you now that since I've used this product I have had ZERO red bumps or irritation post shaving. I am blown away because it also works better than the horrible chemical deodorants for battling sweat and odor. I think this type of product, like all, work differently for everyone (thus the mixed reviews) but I can tell you I am not paid but have use this for 2 weeks and can say that as someone with sensitive skin, this product not only smells amazing, CURED my underarm irritation and really works as a deodorant. It's worth a try if you have dealt with underarm irritation from drug store deodorants.

This is a nice deodorant and I've been using for several months with still a good amount left to get through. It smells nice for most of the day but I will say that if you sweat a lot, be prepared for a "stale" smell by the end of the day. Not necessarily stinky, but kind of musty. The do notice that my underarms get a little more irritated with this deodorant than when I use Toms, but otherwise, its fine. The irritation is not enough to stop using it, but something I notice. I get a red line where my underarm creases. No itching or pain though. Overall, I like this deodorant but I will probably stick with Toms since I think I smell a little better by the end of the day and since I don't get the irritation.

I had high hopes for this deodorant after reading a lot of positive reviews. I really like the scent, and the consistency isn't bad-a little drier than run of the mill antiperspirant/deodorant, but it goes on fine. Unfortunately, this has very little staying power. I use Certain Dri antiperspirant at night, so I didn't expect this deodorant to have to combat much for scent, but still wanted a little coverage. Unfortunately after maybe 2 or 3 hours, the scent has vanished, and on hard-working days, I've been a little stinky. I'll keep using it for days where I won't be outside much, or am able to reapply. But I won't be repurchasing this.

I have been searching for the best natural deodorant, and I've found it. I have a drawer full of half-used deodorant sticks that simply haven't made the cut, including ones that were made for men! There's nothing worse than doing a mid-afternoon pit check to find your previously pleasant "lemongrass and mountain mint" scent has soured...Shudder! I have found The One with Lavanila. Even though it may be expensive in comparison to most ordinary deodorants, it is worth the money to have peace of mind about the way you feel and smell. There are no parabens, sulfates, aluminum, or propylene glycol and that's important for your health. The scent is long-lasting, and I've had no problem wearing it during the middle of a hot, humid summer. It doesn't wear off by noon, and the smell is soft, and powdery so it won't offend your co-workers or your loved ones. I have had no adverse skin reactions while using this for a month now, and I have sensitive skin. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a natural deodorant.

I had previously given this product 4 stars but had to take it down to 1 star due to the horrible rash I developed after use. The first two days of using Lavanila were fine, and although the product wasn't very good at deodorizing, I loved the coconut vanilla scent. I thought I'd found a decent product but on the third day of use, I developed a bad rash under my arms where I'd applied the deodorant. I've never had an underarm rash before, so I was horrified, as it itched and burned badly. I stopped using the product and within a day or two, the rash cleared up and my skin was fine. I went back to my old deodorant to see if that too would cause a rash, but as suspected, it did not. So, the Lavanila was definitely the culprit and I'm very disappointed that I can't use it, especially after paying $14 for a small tube!

Smells good (coconut/vanilla, smells like a "baby" scent). Goes on and feels like "regular" deodorant, thought is drier and harder to apply than, say, Dove. Doesn't keep me from smelling 3rd World. Ok, I'm exaggerating. But I applied twice a day for the near week I attempted this. I'm new to natural deodorant and I tried Toms first which was a total joke. This is less of a joke but simply doesn't cut the mustard. I don't really sweat under my arms (God made me a face sweater which is sooo much more lady-like) but I do apparently get funky if I'm not rocking aluminum :/ Back to the drawing board... UPDATE: I came across this product again and felt compelled to update my review since I did attempt to continue using this one. After about 2-3 weeks my underarms developed TERRIBLE bumps. I have never had bumps/sores there and these were painful and looked HORRIBLE! I thought SURELY the deodorant wasnt the source of this problem. Well, at the pool one day my neighbor came over and was talking to me, I noticed she kept looking at my pits - embarrassing. So I decided to switch back to Dove... the bumps resolved in less than 2 days. Dagnabbit. I LOVE the smell of this, but it requires constant reapplication, is very dry and hard to put on annnnnd after time made ME break out. Hope this helps someone.

I am in the process of going 100% cruelty free and vegan, and one of the last things I've transitioned is my deodorant. Natural deodorant just didn't seem like something I would enjoy, but I finally bit the bullet and tried it. I had heard AMAZING things about Lavanilla, and it did not disappoint! Pros: IT WORKS: while not an antiperspirant (more on that below) it works pretty dang well at reducing smells, I don't usually have to reapply throughout the day, there's quite a bit of product in each container Cons: It's a little pricey, there's nothing to reduce wetness, the smell? the vanilla coconut isn't horrible but it's not my favorite either, sometimes it's hard to apply? like it's not very creamy This deodorant is definitely worth checking out, especially if you're just starting to use natural deodorants.

I love this deodorant. All the deodorant from this company are great. I have terrible allergies to most deodorant I use but I had no problem at all with these. They smell good, work well and are all natural. So far, it is the best natural deodorant I've used. Im very happy I found this product!

I'm allergic to the vast majority of deodorants. I love Lavanila because it smells good and works better than any natural deodorant I have tried. I layer it with a crystal deodorant underneath; when that dries, I put this over the top. My favourite fragrance is the vanilla lemon; but, they are all lovely. Don't be fooled by the baby powder scent some of them have when you sniff the stick; that goes away after you apply it and the result is fresh and wonderful.

Pretty good for a natural deodorant. It’s the best one I’ve been able to find. It’s definitely not an antiperspirant so you still sweat but at least you smell nice.

I actually found I smelled more after applying this. Is that possible? There is only a faint vanilla smell, the powdery talc smell is more strong.It is better smelling then alot of natural deodorants but I would recommend a different scent in this line. Will be switching back to regular, I tried!

This has been my favourite deodorant for many years. Sephora rarely has it in stock so I buy online. It’s got the most amazing smell, and none of the toxic chemicals regular deodorants you get at the store. It also actually works as opposed to any other natural deodorant I’ve tried.
