Works well but needs improvements.
This is an honest assessment and review of this Zeehoo Qi quick charge car mount. To start, the mount feels pretty well built, like a mid tier level product. Not cheap but not expensive. Suction Mounting - It comes with suction cup extension bracket and a air vent bracket. Living in Texas I didn't even want to try the suction mount knowing that the mid-day heat will dry the suction cup and the mount WILL fall. It's happened with many different suction mounts so many times I straight up avoided it. Air Vent Mount - I went directly to the air vent mounting option. I read reviews saying the vent mount was terrible but honestly it works and does not move around. So far it's the best air vent mount I've come across. There is a aligator like clip for the vent slots and a flip down piece that braces against the vent to prevent flopping around and shifting. Phone grasping- Here is a problem. The phone clamps that grasp and retract should work but there is the occasional release and the phone will tumble. Not sure what the deal is. I have adequate power going to the unit but I really think that the "side buttons" are too sensitive. They are not really buttons either. They appear to be buttons but they down push. They are proximity type sensors that if you slide your fingers near will release the clamps. This kinda sucks because if you barely brush up against them they will release the phone unexpectedly. I would prefer real clickable buttons to prevent this. And sometimes they just open up on their own. It's decerning because you can't 100% trust the mount to fully grasp your phone. Bummer. Also you need to have the car on or have available power to the charge brick if you want to remove your phone. The clamp motors will not move without power. Charging Speed - it's fine for a slight trickle charge but for serious charging you'll want to plug in. The iPhones apparently can't take the 10w charge so it's limited to 5w. So not really quick. It ends up just above where you started if you run a map app and/or podcast/music when you drive. Also do not duel charge while on the stand. I forgot about the Qi charger for a second and mounted the phone and plugged in a lighting cord. The phone started to over heat. Be careful. I quickly realized it and removed the cord. Overall the charging works but is slow. Overall thoughts - it's decent. I'm sure there are better chargers out there albeit more expensive. This one came in just under $40. I think if they are willing to take critical feedback and make changes to the charger's flaws, it would be an awesome buy. Overall I think it will work but have read that other's have experienced theirs working for a couple weeks then completely dying. I've had it a week so if that happens I will update this review. I would say it does work but needs some much needed improvements.

Surprised by the Zee Hoo Auto-ClampCar Wireless Charging Mount
With any new product and company I'm unfamiliar with I always look at the packaging first as the quality and content (spelling and grammar) will immediately give me a first indicator of what to expect. Not top notch quality, but the product was packaged well and the instructions were easy to read with good pictures and diagrams. I didn't see any overt grammatical or spelling errors. Each individual component is wrapped in cellophane type material had no defects. Keep in mind this does not come with a car charger adapter, you'll need to supply your own. You have three ways to mount this wireless charger, on the dash, on the windshield, or on an air vent. It comes with a suction cup for the first two options and a vent clip mount for the other. The articulating arm can be adjusted similar to one of the other top brands in the market. One major difference is that this is connected to power via USB C, which was great as my car already had a USB C wire running to the dash for a previous mount that broke. Followng the instructions, I put the suction cup mount on the mount. I cleaned the windshield as instructed, peeled off the suction cup film, and stuck it to the windshield. I then pushed the tab down to ensure a tight seal. I then plugged in the USB C cord to power the unit. So far, everything was easy! I angled the arm and mount where I needed them to be and tightened all of the articulating points. So because this is a motorized mount, you have to have power on. This is the only drawback for me as my power source is only on when the car is in accessory mode or on. I turned my car on, the unit powered on and provided indication via an led light. The arms extended on the sides so I put my Note10+ in. Didn't start charging... then I realized I needed to pull the bottom of the mount down to center my charging coils in the phone and charger. I pushed one of the side buttons to get my phone out, extended the bottom, and placed my phone back in. Lo and behold it charges! Keep in mind that my Note10+ has a UAG case on it so I was worried it wasn't going to charge because of the thickness. To test the charger, I had YouTube and Google maps running at the same time on multiple drives to see if the charger could keep up/top off my battery. These are the heavy apps I would use on the go outside of anything running in the background. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it could! Looking at the instructions, there is fast charging QC2.0/3.0/4.0, which my car adapter supports. The mount itself seems very solid and it has enough clamping force to hold my phone over bumps even when angled downwards at approximately 30 degree angles. Now, I gave this 5 stars today, but I live in Florida where sun and heat will destroy phone holders, chargers, and dashcam. I'll have to track the longevity of the suctuon cup, mount, motors, and overall charging capability over time to really see if it's worth spending the money. There is a 12 month warranty you register for, but hopefully I won't have to leverage that service. Outside of that, this seems to be a really good alternative to the other well known company product I was using previously.

Super Futuristic, But A Tad Finnicky
I’ve been using this wireless charger for a couple of months now. I received it as part of a testing promotion and as such, promised an honest review of the charger after I thoroughly tested it. Overall I have to say that I’m very pleased with the features of the charger and have every intention to continue using it as my primary charger in the car. It is extremely attractive and very versatile as it can be used on the dash via a suction adapter or in a vent via a second included adapter. On top of the cradle that allows you to put the phone at any angle you may desire, the wireless quick charging is works exceptionally well. The sensors that allow you to just set the phone in the cradle and have the arms close around it are super cool and futuristic. However, this also leads to the greatest shortcoming of the charger. While the auto closing arms are neat, this feature can be a bit finnicky in several ways and ultimately I’d rather have a manual opening and closing function instead. First, in order to release the phone from the cradle, you have to touch one of the touch sensitive “buttons” on the bottom left or right of the charger in order to open the arms. Unfortunately, these are inconveniently placed if you need to simply interface with the actual phone to put in GPS information or the like without removing it from the cradle. Multiple times I’ve accidentally touched a button while interfacing with the phone and didn’t realize the arms opened until my phone jettisoned out of the cradle and crashed onto the center console or the floor. You can imagine how distracting that would be while driving. Also, if you happen to turn the car off before remembering to remove the phone, you’ll be forced to either turn the car back on or pry it out of the arms. Neither of these issues are deal breakers and both will become less of a problem over time as you adjust to the chargers quirks. Still, having a manual squeeze type release mechanism would solve both issues, even if it made the charger a tad less sexy. Overall I highly recommend this cradle/charger and think its core features more than make up for a few shortcomings. Just know it isn’t perfect and you won’t be disappointed.

Very Nice, Saved my wife a lot of frustration.
I got this about a week ago and so far I love it. Here is a what used to go on in the car. I get in, plug in the charging connector, then put my phone in the holder and squeeze it tight. All is good. Then while driving, if I would get a text, my wife would take my phone and read then respond to the text ( I use siri if she's not there, but siri likes to change things) Well, numerous times she would pull the whole mount off. and she would spend a minute or two hooking everything back up and getting it back in the mount. Then i got this mount. it is a wireless charging so I don't need to hook up a wire. Secondly, it is a powered grip, so I set the phone on the charger and it gently but firmly grasps the phone. I simply tap a small lighted area on either side of the mount and it releases. So now, she can touch the side, lift the phone out respond to the text and set it back in the mount. Very simple, no frustration. I have a ball mounted in my car, so I didn't use the included suction or vent clip mount. they both look pretty decent, but I haven't really tested either. i have an iPhone XR with an otterbox commuter case. and it holds my phone with a little room to spare and it charges through the case with no issues. The charging works well, it does charge slowly while using the navigation with full screen brightness and streaming music, but it is still charging. Downsides. The arms don't release when the power is shut off, so I need to remember to remove the phone before I open my car door in my wife's Odyssey. Depending on your power source, you may need to do it before turning the car off. otherwise you need to turn the power back on to release the phone. you can release the phone manually in the event power is not available, by moving the arms, but I don't think that would be a good everyday practice. I would prefer that it automatically released when the power shut off. Also, the ball that I have mounted is a slight bit smaller than the one used by the mount, so a couple of pieces of paper between the ball and the mount took up the slack, but just so you know the balls are not all the same size across different companies. Full disclosure, i received this products free in exchange for an honest review. That in no way changes my opinion of the product.

Suction cup turns to goop
This really could be a pretty decent product but sadly a few cons overshadow the positives I have had with this device over the year and a half ive had it. Cons: 1. Probably the biggest con is that the suction cup eventually turned into a sticky mess that feel off the window. This thing cannot be left in the sun or attached to the window in hot areas or it just turns into a sticky mess. This was not immediate but after about 12 months. The suction cup is really the worst part of this device. 2. The mount itself is made of plastic and plastic friction parts. That means over time it has loosened up and it sags on me a lot. I keep tightening down the joints but they just feel sloppy. 3. Finicky buttons to release the phone. I think a few other reviewers hit the nail on the head, the buttons in principle seem great to release the phone but its really easy to accidental graze them and the phone gets released and falls off the mount. Pros: 1. Holds device well, no major issues with the motor arms other than the in advertent letting go from the finicky buttons point #3 on the cons. 2. Charges at a decent rate and the phone is not getting too hot. 3. Decent cost/value

ZeeHoo Wireless Car Charger is what I've been searching for...
I purchased this cell phone holder/charger a few weeks ago, and have used it in 4 different vehicles to write this review...each had different angles windshields and dashboards. The phone never left it's UAG phone case. The phone I used was a Samsung S8+. My first comment is that I like how the grips come in and clamp as soon as the phone is set in the cradle, and how well it holds the phone. Even in my off road truck, the phone never shifted, never slipped, and maintained a charging signal. In my classic Mercedes with small dashboard and small windshield ...I found it to be a little bulky and in the way of vision, but it did it's job well. On the tight corners, the phone didn't fall or loose charging signal In my older Ford Truck, it was perfect...not in the way, held like it should and was adjustable outward just enough that I could reach it without having the stretch too far. In my newer Ford truck, I had the same experience as in the older one...right size, fully adjustable so that I could easily reach the phone, and it continued to hold tight and not slip. In my Ford SUV...still nothing to report other than what is above. Due to the style of material and design of my dash pads on my older vehicles, I mounted this to the glass. The hold it has on glass is second to none...and worked great. In the Ford SUV, the surface of the dash was deeply pebbled, but that didn't stop this charger from holding well enough. It is a quick charging unit...works as fast as any plug in fast charger that I've used. The fact that you don't have to worry about plugging your phone in and possibly harming the charging port of the phone is a huge plus for me. The quality of material is on par with many other plastics used by other manufacturers. Personally, I prefer aluminum, but I understand the cost prohibitive aspect against it's use in this. Metals cost more to manufacturer with than molded plastics. The overall quality of this charger is top notch. The adjustments are easy to use, and the phone will sit well in any position. I prefer to have my phone sideways due to the fact that I use apps that look better with the phone on it's side while driving...such as the Waze app. I will be adding a permanent cord to my newer truck just for this charger...this way, I don't have cords hanging anywhere, which is something I can't stand to see. This is worth the money, and will do exactly as it's advertised to do...wirelessly charge your phone while driving. I plan on purchasing another for my wife's vehicle in the future.

I would rather pass a kidney stone than own this.
UPDATE: after writing this review I’ve been hounded by this company. While it’s only email it’s still deeply annoying. You don’t get to make this right I just want you and your garbage product to go away so I can stop being reminded about your garbage product every time your garbage company sends me another garbage email. Leave me alone, you’re starting to get into stalker territory. Absolutely not it. A few things: -it has this wildly unneeded “automatic” tensioning feature that grips your phone when you cradle it and releases it at totally randomly times while your driving. “Is that my thousand dollar god damn phone taking flight from it’s cradle with no case on (more on that in a minute) ? Why yes it is! It’s pathetic little limp wireless charging “feature” won’t work with any case. At least the four I’ve used. The SAME GOD DAMN FOUR that work on my amazon cheap-o wireless charger just fine. So yeah, go bareback with your phone in this bad boy, what’s the worst that can happen. It’s only (most likely) a sizable amount of your monthly income. -the limp noodle charging. Once you’ve taken your phone out of the case and put it on the charger it will charge.... sloooooooooooooooooooowly. Like so slowly that say you drive for Lyft and you’re out for 12 hours a day your phone will actually lose power if you take it out of the cradle and mess around between rides. Calling this device awful is too kind. So let’s review. -automatic “latching” device randomly drops your four figure phone. Just cuz. -won’t work with any case I have. Even the Apple battery case that is SET UP TO GOD DAMN WIRELESSLY CHARGE ALREADY! -if you do charge your naked phone in it it will be more of a gentle kiss on the cheek than an actual charge. A soft breeze of electrons barely felt on the wind. An idea of watts. I would rather join the taliban than have this piece of garbage in my car one more time if for no other reason than it randomly dropping my phone. Congrats you can’t even do your basic job.

Sturdy - Works with Galaxy S10+ and thick cases!
Foreword: I am ALWAYS skeptical of reviews. I don't care how many positive reviews a product has, because you never know who's been paid to write a good one, or not. With that said, I was NOT paid by the company to leave a positive review. This review is positive because I have had an AMAZING impression with this product. What's in the box? Suction Cup Mount, Vent Clip Mount, Tightening Nut, Type-C Charging Cable, Manual, "Customer Appreciation card" and contact information for warranty requests, or customer service. PROS: ¤ Works with Galaxy S10+ in an Otterbox Defender case (with the bottom extension pulled out on the cradle.) ¤ Is wide enough to hold my S10+ while in the otterbox (barely, but it is a 3.5" interior grip area.) ¤ "Automatic" (Motorized) opening - The charger automatically opens when you touch the side capacitive buttons. ¤ "Automatic" (Motorized) closing - When you first place your phone into the cradle as soon as it detects the phone the charger's side arms automatically close evenly with a slight bit of pressure" to hold your phone in place, and once it detects that the phone is cradled it kicks on the wireless charging. ¤ Bottom extends to compensate for taller phones like the S10+ so you should be able to use a WIDE variety of phones with this. ¤ Wireless fast charge works well. ¤ Ventilated design allows the induction coils to get airflow which is ESSENTIAL to ensuring that the product lasts, and doesn't cause your phone to overheat from wireless charging! ¤ Extendable "arm" on the suction cup mount. ¤ Suction cup Mount has grooves to lock it into place every 5 degrees and can flip front to back 180 degrees for FULL control over how you want to mount this ANYWHERE (I have it mounted on top of my computer tower right now) ¤ "Ball-head" actuator allows the phone to rotate any which way you could possibly desire, and secures in place really well. It's slightly larger in diameter than my old Scosche magnetic mount that has yet to break after 2 years of driving for UBER so it should have NO problem lasting! ¤ The suction cup on the mount is around 1CM wider, and deeper than my Scosche magnetic mount that has been in my car faithfully serving me for two years now and has only fallen down twice (once was my fault) so this should stay on pretty well! Obviously, the more porous the surface you're mounting to is - the more issues you're going to have. My fusion has pretty flat plastic on the dash console that allows me to mount near the center of my windshield without mounting ON my windshield. ¤ Vent clip - This this...Oh My GOODNESS it's SO NICE! I honestly feel like the vent clip is going to be more reliable than the suction mount arm! There is the obvious "pressure clip" that every vent clip has that normally fail, or cause your phone to fly off; but this one has a clamp UNDERNEATH the pressure clamp that you can click into place that holds it on the vent flap BELOW the one you mounted the phone to (or above it, depending on how you orient it) that allows you to have TWICE the security that your phone isn't going to go flying into your gearshift, and shatter your screen! Seriously, I'm IMPRESSED with this vent clip (how often have you seen someone say that?) CONS: Honestly, there are only three cons that I can think of and they are: 1. It wouldn't hurt to have extra adjustment locking nuts in the package should one break, but being that it's a single-mold piece from what I can tell it SHOULDN'T break as long as you don't tighten it crazy tight. 2. The USB Type-C cord included is NICE!, as is the fact that it's USB Type-C and not microUSB which would fail more quickly, but being only 3 feet long really prohibits mounting locations. 3. The extension arm that you loosen on the suction cup mount that adds an additional 3" or so to the length pulls out from the interior of the arm that it's in. The rail seems smooth enough, and isn't difficult to pull out, but my S10+ and Otterbox Defender seem to be VERY close to the weight limit for it when it's extended fully. At regular length it's STABLE (with a little bit of wobble, obviously, but nothing concerning.) For heavier phones, I'd keep it at the regular 6" length, instead of the total possible 9". Other thoughts: For the price, with the included features, capabilities, and design quality - I really don't think this would be a "bad" purchase by ANY means. You get a vent clip, a dash mount, a window mount, any possible adjustment you could think of, stability, security, wireless charging with TYPE-C! (always a win) and a cable (although short.) You'd be hard pressed to find anything that gives you all of that for $40 and I'd know, I've spent well over $250 on various car chargers from over ten different online, and big-box retailers! Zeehoo knocked the ball out of the park with this one! **UPDATE JULY 15, 2019** I still have this charger mounted to my work desk via the suction cup mount. I did have it in my car, but after the extension arm thumbscrew kept undoing itself from vibrations, so I decided to use it at home. It still works great despite sometimes needing to reseat my phone to get fast charging to kick in. I am 100% certain this is due to the massive construction and bulk of my Otterbox Defender and NOT the charger since it works flawlessly on my s7 edge vs my S10+ Still a 5 star product by every measure.
