A well written book
A lot of what's in the book is relevant even today not only in the west but any culture trying to westernize themselves. I recommend reading Amor and Psyche by the same author before reading this book. The chapter on the moon symbology was very insightful. I found Neumann more on point in this book than others.

Five Stars
Yeah, five stars. Awesome, awesome. Neumann uses a Jungian framework to present this critical aspect of human psychology clearly and usefully. Academic style, but way more accessible than Jung himself. If more people knew this stuff, we'd have a greater number of balanced individuals, happier relationships, and a healthier planet. It's categorized as 'Psychology/Women's Studies', but it's as much (or more) for men. Brilliant.

A very insightful piece of work on women's psychology and spirituality. After reading it, I have a new respect for the feminine point of view which is separate and different from the masculine and completely autonomous.
