Perfect toilet brush. My last one wore down and was scratching my porcelain. This is gentle and cleans well. Easy to clean. "Things" don't stick to it like a brush.

Summary: After 5+ years with two of these BOOMJOY silicone toilet brush sets, they have stayed clean, effective, and rust-free, and they avoid the gross “toilet brush soup” problem better than any traditional brush I have used. This is the only brand I will buy for toilet brushes. Not because I enjoy these tasks, but because I am really too good for them and therefore require the least disgusting tool possible. If you want a toilet brush setup that stays dry, stays tidy, and lasts for years, this is it. I own two of the BOOMJOY Toilet Brush and Holder Sets and have been using them for more than five years. I am happy to report that both sets are still going strong, with no rust, no wear, and no weird wobbling. That alone is impressive for something that lives its life in the most emotionally challenging corner of the bathroom. The best part is the brush design. Because it is silicone, it does not retain water the way old-school bristle brushes do. You know that classic situation where the brush goes back into the holder and marinate in a sad little puddle of toilet water like a tiny cursed stew? That does not happen here. This brush cleans effectively, then dries easily, and there is no pooling in the holder. It is a small detail that makes a huge difference in day-to-day grossness. Cleaning performance is solid. It scrubs well, it rinses off easily, and it does not end up looking like it has been through a medieval battle after a few uses. The included tweezers are also a nice touch for those “I cannot believe I have to deal with this” moments, and I appreciate not having to improvise with a wad of toilet paper and regret.

I bought this to try. The silicone bristles are nice and are overall more sanitary. The brush feels lightweight so I question long term durability. Easy to use. I just don’t know if it cleans as well as a brush because the silicone nubs are shorter. Also, You can hear a brush while cleaning. This is a compact set so that is nice to be able to tuck it close to or slightly behind the toilet.

it is ok. Instead of a brush it has a rubbery bristle head. The part closest to the head, which presumably will be wettest, is some sort of metal, and if steel, will definitely rust with time. The base is steady, but does not look very easy to clean. It screws together fairly sturdily into a shorter than average handle length, but I do not have hopes for its longevity -- you get what you pay for, and for the price, this will do for a few months in a bathroom I rarely use.

I made the mistake of purchasing brand new toilets when I purchased my condo. Not that I purchased them per se, but I only looked for height, efficiency and durability. I’ve had American Standard, Toto, Kohler, Delta… some of those brands, not necessarily at my house, but at my parents’; also my brother’s place, my cousin/little sister. I picked exactly the same style for both toilets. I was quite happy for a weeks, as I am ocd when it comes to cleaning the toilet’s rim. I think I was one of the few to purchase the toilet brush that has attached a smaller an angle brush to clean under the rim. And I have to say I’m one of the few to use that type of brush. You can find it anywhere anymore! They have “copycats”, but nothing like the ones I used to purchase back in the mid ‘90s. Oh my! While I was cleaning them, I realized that hard water minerals, and all that gunk that comes with our water, was causing black spot due to having a boxed rim! Which means is closed off and has small holes, instead of being open to clean as I usually did. It’s been 4 yrs and I have tried everything. And I mean everything. The customer support rep were wonderful, but the lengths I had to go thru to clean those holes from all the gunk. You can clean them, but the reality is, how do I clean in between the holes to remove that gunk completely?! I had to get plumber’s putty, paper towels, CLR and something else I can’t remember. Empty the tank, put paper towels under the rim and afterwards keep it in place with the putty. 48 hrs later, I can’t say I accomplish much. It did look better, but not like I wanted. I even had to use paper clips in order to get the rim on the inside, not exposed, clean. It’s really annoying. Glad I live by myself, and the unit had two baths. If not, those 48 hrs of CLR would not have been possible. I have been searching high and low for a good brush and I’ve finally found a decent brush to clean those holes. The material is so sturdy, it gets into the holes. No other brush came close to this one. Does it clean the boxed rim as thoroughly as I would like, being able to clean as good as I used to clean the regular rim? Highly doubt it! There’s no way for me to know for sure, but this brush is fantastic. Glad I found it!!

The handle has markings I wasn’t expecting nor wanted to see on it in my bathroom. Worst part: Silicone is the worst choice to clean a toilet unless you want to clean it daily and right after using it. The durability is terrible! Putting this handle together was ridiculous!! Cheap plastic and little grip and flexibility. Silicone brushes have less scrubbing power because the material is softer. It makes me work harder which I’m not aiming for. It’s not ideal for heavy duty grime if you are one with many in your house and clean once a week. It’s also tedious to rinse clean. Trying to get off stray debris or hair stuck directly to the silicone head takes unnecessary effort. Verdict: cheap, poor quality. I do not recommend.

Been using this for a while and it doesn't look destroyed like other toilet brushes do. Seems to clean effectively enough.

It is good but somehow don't like its rubber brushes, I don't feel like its scrubbing the toilet, feels like I am rubbing some rubber which make me feel its not cleaning the toilet as it supposed to. Clean ok, the best thing is, it doesn't hold the residue or water which make brush smelly. It gets dry quickly and looks clean.

OK, this is a toilet brush but it is so very much different from the old horrible and messy ones I have used in the past. The design is quite stylish and it looks ok, the major difference is the silicone brush head. It cleans the bowl very easily and it is easy to clean after the work has been done. So pleased we bought 2 of them.

After reading about silicone antibacterial brushes, I thought I'd give it a try. Did some research, landed on these ones and found them to be a great alternative. Heaps better than what we had before, very well made, easy to use and as far as toilet brushes are concerned they look ok.

Update: Originally I wrote “Durable materials, solid build and nice design.” This morning I realised the handle has rust and it won’t probably last much longer. What a waste!
