A must have for your little goalie
My 4 year old has been asking for goalie gear forever! We obviously do not want to spend 1k on gear for at home play. These are perfect! They are lightweight, flexible, easy to put on and take off, and you get the loom and feel of being a real goalie without the price tag. It also would be an awesome Halloween costume.

Now he wants to be a goalie... : )
I am six and I love it! I am a goalie. I wore this (in red in black) for Halloween with a NJ Devils Jersey. Mom's note: this is fun for around the house knee hockey too and he practices blocking soft pucks with these pads in a room with cement floor in front of Franklin knee hockey net. He really is a goalie in this set : ) , really gets into the tough guy role. He saw "The Miracle"(and "Mighty Ducks") and now says, What up? like characters in movie say to "OC," O'Clanahan. lol. As others reviewer say it isn't real gear. It does not offer much of any protective benefits. It's for entry level imagination play. Which will probably lead to you having to purchase a real helmet, gloves, hockey pants if you introduce them to ice skating and they like it. Good luck!!

With that being said it is perfect for that use only
This is NOT FOR STREET HOCKEY! This is a small indoor "Knee Hockey" set. With that being said it is perfect for that use only. The pads are small and flimsy and should not be used for anything more than a small nerf ball. Knee hockey is a fun little indoor game using a small 2'x2' net so you wouldn't want the pads to be any bigger than what you receive with this set. It keeps the game fun and competitive. Another great use would be for around ages 4 and under that have aspirations to be a goalie .. this set would make a fun little practice/trial set for your little one!

This is not real goalie gear it is child's play time stuff.
To start off, this is more or less dress up stuff. Letting kids imagination run wild being their favorite goalie. It can stop a foam ball or foam puck but is not intended as safety equipment. I got this for our friends and families kids that come over, they all love it! It also fits on a stormtrooper plush I have. Just good wholesome fun

Do not buy zero stars
I thought this was a great gift for a 4 yr old who likes hockey. Everything about this set is cheap - pads are paper thin and this is not goalie pads itโs knee pads on a 4 yr old, glove is a joke you canโt even call it a glove, face mask is plastic and thin, nothing is real itโs a cheap Halloween custome donโt be fooled.

Probably not worth ~$35
I bought this goalie kit for our garage knee hockey. My expectations weren't very high, given the aesthetics, and quite honestly, I don't love the product, but I also don't hate it. My three gripes, if I can call them gripes, is 1) the mitt is open at the tip. Because the mitt (and the blocker) don't fit tightly, your hand could eventually become exposed during the course of play. We got around this by fastening both in place with a strap. Gripe #2 is the goalie mask. Looks great! My nephew LOVED the mask, because you feel like a real goalie (we were using an old baseball catcher's mask before). The gripe is the straps on the mask don't go all the way around the head, it sort of sits on the crown of his head (not as bad as when I put it on, but it was never made for an adult to begin with). The mask only came off a few times, but a longer middle strap would alleviate this, I'm assuming. Again, not a deal breaker. Gripe #3 is how small the pads are relative to the other equipment. I can put the glove on and it's not terribly small; same with the blocker and the mask. They're too small for me, obviously, but not terrible. The goalie pads? They looked like soccer shin guards on my 10 yr old nephew and almost like knee pads on me. Again, not a deal breaker because the picture shows this for the most part, but 2-3" of length would be awesome. I don't even care they're flimsy, they're just simply not long enough. For what it's worth: we actually used these as the "arm pads" since we were playing knee hockey anyway. Long story short: worked just fine for us playing garage knee hockey since the ball isn't coming in that fast to begin with. All in all, though, the $35 price tag is a smidge high. I would like to see this kit sold for around $20-25.

love it
My 5 year old loves these pads. Every night we play a game. They do slip around on his legs but he does not mind, he just keeps adjusting them. I have tried to tighten the straps with a safety pin - I may try to stitch them to tighten them up. And the corner of a leg pad is starting to fray already - we have only had them for a couple of weeks. But the mask fits great, it does not slip around, and the gloves are cool. I think they were a great value - he adores them, we have a great time and the price was very fair. If something rips, I will buy another set in a heartbeat.

Flimsy and cheap
This thing stinks. I wish I knew how flimsy and pathetic this was before spending the money. I am tossing it in the trash because my kids refuse to wear it. I can only imagine some 2 year old wearing it as a costume or something. This not not for hockey players or anyone over 5 years old.
