I Love You Because You're You

UGH SUCH A CUTE BOOK!!! I'm def going to enjoy reading this for my baby.

It's really important to me that my kids believe they are worthy of love no matter the state they're in. This book highlights that so beautifully; "I love you when you're angry... I love you when you're wild... I love you when you're sad...... I love you when you're playful..." It is just this mom telling her little one that she loves him always, in every state. The rhyming is wonderful and the illustrations are perfect for the feel of the book. I bought this to read to my little ones on Valentine's Day and then over and over again. It's simple text, easy for them to understand, yet still conveying the profound message. I really love this book. Buy it, read it, let your children know they are loved UNCONDITIONALLY, simply because they are them.

This is one of my toddler’s absolute favorite books (and mine too). We both love the message, and as others have mentioned, the meter is nice so he will actually listen to me read the whole thing — this is very rare. He’s usually too busy doing things or too excited and turns the page early or things along those lines (his patience for books is very limited) but this book - he’s all in. I knew he understood the message from a young age but just now, at age three, he turned to the page about anger and shouting and referenced a recent tantrum of his and we hugged and I am currently crying - it was too sweet! Wonderful message, wonderful book.

Love this book! Beautiful illustrations, fun little story and makes a great bedtime story!

I used to read this book multiple times a day to my oldest child when he was a toddler. (9-10 years ago!) After moving a few times, our book somehow disappeared. I surprised my son with it today (he’s 11 now) and his face lit up and he said, “I remember reading this book with you when I was little!!” He quickly read through the book with a smile on his face. I’m so glad we own this book again and I can’t wait to read it to my other kids now too. It arrived in perfect condition and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you!

I got choked up the first time I read this to my little one. Such a sweet little story, perfect for bedtime or any time. I am always saying "I love you no matter what, and I will always love you." This book is so specific and spells out all the ways that a parent loves a child unconditionally. It's helpful for instilling a sense of security that a child can never lose your love, no matter what. So sweet! And the illustrations are beautiful.

This book has adorable illustrations. The rhyming is a little stilted, but not everyone will be affected by it. I think maybe it is a little too sappy for me as a mother, but it is very sweet. The basic premise is I would love you even if you were at your worst, and of course that rings true for me as a mother.

It's a very cute book, and a good message of unconditional love. My son loves this book. It has a good meter and lots of repetition ("I love you"). He brings me this book often to read to him. He really likes to read it before bed. It is one of the few books that he consistently wants to read (with me and alone! Not that he can read yet). I'll likely purchase another in the future for my friend who also has a toddler (who also totally adores this book).

This is a very cute book with the Mother Fox telling the Little Fox that she loves him through all his different emotions. The book is a board book and the illustrations are very bright and colourful. My toddler loves pointing different things in the pictures. Its also a great book to talk about emotions i.e. happy, curious, scared, bashful etc. We enjoy reading this together.

Both parents and baby love this precious, enchanting book. The drawings are very sweet and the words are written giving the book a good rhythm. Our son asks to have this book read to him over and over, and every time he looks at every single detail, and tries to grab the heart at the end of the book. We love the old style setting and the particulars on each page. The only word we find was used in a different way was "frisky"... :-)

The book is about unconditional love. The images are cute and narration is touchy. However, the cover arrived damaged so I will have to exchange it.

This book will warm your heart when you read it…it’s honestly a book I would buy again or give as a gift!
