If you have a completely separate idea of your own, you can easily adapt one of these to carry it through in a guided meditation. So helpful with formatting and pacing your reflections!

I was so sad when I lost my first copy that had accompanied ...
This is a companion for life. Wherever I go I bring this book with me. As I've gotten more into Buddhism and meditation, for a while I started thinking that I should expand beyond this book and look into other practices and suttas, etc. While there is definitely merit in expanding one's horizons, my practice took a bit of a toll from losing focus on the practices (or at least their aims) intended by this book. I was so sad when I lost my first copy that had accompanied me for two years that I had to immediately buy another.

Meditation
If you are looking for a book from my favorite Zen Master, Thich Nhat Hanh for teaching or practicing your own guided meditation than I would recommend this book. My all time favorite book by Thich Nhat Hanh is The Miracle of Mindfulness: An Introduction to the Practice of Meditation. I bought this book as an addition to The Miracle of Mindfulness.

Great Book
I have not finished reading the book fully but Thich Nhat Hanh offers many different meditation techniques to bring silence and peace to your world. I am a Roman Catholic but find much joy and peace in many of his books. I have infused many of skills in my daily spiritual practice

I need help in my efforts to bring meaningfulness to guided meditation. Guiding meditation is a skill that is learned. While years of experience are still required, in my opinion, to learn that skill, this book is an essential resource.

The guided meditation exercises in this book have many purposes. I recommend this book if you want to encourage joy in your life; if you want to further discover your true nature in this life; if you want to heal and shine awareness on yourself; finally if you want to release yourself frfom any hurtful emotions. The food for thought exercises in this book and mindfulness in breathing will aid you to be a more wholesome person.

I found this to be a clear and concise introduction to meditation. Like Thich Nhat's other publications it is well written and an enjoyable and easy going read.

I use many of Thich Nhat Hanh's book in my yoga classes and this is beautiful and perfect for cultivating mindfulness not only in yoga but in daily life!! Highly recommend !
