Cardo FRC2P101 - FREECOM 2 Plus Motorcycle 2-Way Bluetooth Communication System Headset - Black, Dual Pack

This is the second set of these I have ordered from Amazon. First set needed replaced after one of them fell off helmet and got ran over (my fault), but still worked for another 2 yrs until being caught in a monsoon. The other one still works fine, but wanted a matched/paired set. Thats when I bought another pair of them. For the money my wife and I cant live without them (It took 2 days not having them to realize it). These work flawlessly for what we use them for, my wife and I have separate bikes and these are a must. Yes the speakers are not hat great, but can be upgraded fairly cheap. I bought the IASUS XSound 2.1 helmet speakers and we are highly satisfied with the sound. I recommend these to everyone. Yes they make better ones with more features and able to pair with more riders, with better sounding speakers, but the Freecom 2 Plus does eveything I need them to do at a very good price. They are simple to use and the battery lasts a very long time, I cant ask for anything better for the price. I am HIGHLY SATISFIED, thanks Amazon for the best price!!

So, I just started riding 5 months ago. I was using my airpods and nearly ripping off my ears each time I took my helmet off (SHOEI SR-RF). I mainly ride alone but sometimes daughter/wife hop on the back of my CanAm Ryker and we go for a spin. Overall - really good device for the price. Honestly, you don't need to have BOSE quality sound going while you are riding - you should be paying attention to your surroundings. That said, the sound on these is really, really good. I was a radio DJ for years and the quality is great. Could use a bit more bass but that's fine. The communication between riders could be a bit better - there is a definite pause and we find ourselves repeating a lot because it gets garbled or breaks up. Again, I use it mainly for the music side of it and it's great.

JUST A HEADS UP: I've noticed that reviews for all versions are combined on this page. So to make clear - this is for Scalarider FREECOM 2 + dual pack. This system is simply amazing. Installation is pretty easy and you have glued or clipped options for attaching the unit to the helmet. Sound quality is descent enough. The fact that it comes pre-paired with the second unit is very handy, although pairing is super easy and fast, also with the phone. The battery life is amazing! I simply don't need to worry about it. I charge maybe once a week while I'm at work. I love that almost any feature you can switch on/off. This is great because for example I usually sing a long with my music inside my helmet (don't laugh, I know you do it too...) And the voice activation keeps coming on and killing my buzz. I simply turned it off and can now sing freely. Another example is the auto-volume (volume goes up or down according to background noises). I personally like it, but I guess some people might get annoyed, so again, you can simply turn that off or even control it's sensetivety. Another big plus is both the mobile app and the community website. You can configure many options very easily from there and download updates from the website. The reason why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is the lack of support I got. I was facing a small issue of not being able to share music from my phone with the passenger. I still didn't got an answer from support but could figure it out by playing with the options through the PC web app. Although I could fix it, it wasn't intuitive and the support was bad. That's the only reason for one star down. One last thing is that the speakers were actually too big for my helmet. Not neccesarily a bad thing, but worth checking and measuring before.

These are awesome! They cancel road noise very well and still communicate voice clearly, even at high speeds. I would buy again.

Don't even think about it: buy Cardo. I'll never regret this purchase. I'm still so happy even after 5 years of use!!!

I bought the two set so my wife and I could talk to each other while we were on the spyder together. They work great for that. You can choose you Mike option for your helmet type. Communication between us while riding is clear and easy to understand. I've also used it on solo rides with my full face helmet and the person on the other end did not even know I was on my bike. I domt ride alot but I've only charged the unit once and it still seems yo have plenty of life in it.

I had connection to phone problems and noise cancellation problems. I also though with this model i can talk to 3 people at once for the Freecom 1 can talk to 2 people so naturally iv assumed 3 people.

Not the latest Cardo offering, but significant upgrade from the Cardo Q3 used for rider intercom to a passenger. The integration of phone, GPS, and bluetooth music is significantly improved from the earlier product. Sound quality is good to excellent with the larger speakers especially when using ear plugs. Installation was as simple as pulling the old units and dropping in the new. Noise suppression is better than the old unit but not perfect as I'd hoped. If you don't need rider to multiple rider mesh performance this is the one to buy as it is significantly reduced in price.

Es muy fácil de utilizar Los materiales se sienten de muy buena calidad Cuando aceleras a más de 70 km/hr y vas escuchando música el intercomunicador solo aumenta muy sutilmente el volumen y eso me encantó Se escucha muy claro con el copiloto, no tienes que gritar para que te escuche aunque vayas rápido Hoy maneje con lluvia moderada y sin ningún problema Aún no pruebo conectarlo con un intercomunicador de otra márca La aplicación cardo es muy sencilla de usar y tiene muy buenas funciones Elegí este porque se que los chinos que tanto se están vendiendo sirven pero solo por un rato y este parece que durará bastante

Je recommande ce produit. Nous l’utilisions avec ma femme pour nos motos trips, elle était derrière moi. C’est très pratique. Lorsque nous ne parlions plus pendant un certain temps, l’intercom canal discussion se mettait en veille et passait directement sur le canal musique (si vous avez synchronisé votre téléphone). Ce qui est bien aussi c’est que nous pouvions être connectés sur un seul et même téléphone et donc partager la musique.

La bateria nunca se ha gastado luego de dos intensos dias de ruta en moto utilizando en intercom con el pasajero. Una vez enlazados los intercomunicadores y los telefonos móviles, las siguientes veces se conectan automáticamente, lo que hacen de la experiencia mucho más rápida e intuitiva. El sonido muy bueno. Lo que no pude es utilizar el comando de voz pero supongo que es por tener un teléfono anticuado. Compartir música también funcionó genial. En general valió la pena la compra y estoy muy contento.

Buongiorno, grazie ad Amazon e al diritto di recesso ho potuto arrivare alla scelta ed all’acquisto dei miei due Interfoni (Cardo Freecom 1+ quando vado solo con mia moglie e Cardo Freecom 2+ quando vado con altre moto) di qualità indiscutibile grazie alle prove di alcuni interfoni bluetooth che ho effettuato e che riporto..... Il Lexin BF4M non mi ha convinto soprattutto per il lieve rumore di sottofondo che si sente quando, con Interfono attivo, non si parla. D’accordo che nell’uso di tutti i giorni il rumore del motore sovrasta questo lieve fruscio di fondo, ma dopo 2 ore di viaggio, quando ti togli il casco, un certo fastidio lo senti. Personalmente pretendo, da un interfono, il silenzio assoluto quando non parlo. Anche il Midland BTX1 pro e BTX2 pro hanno lo stesso problema, ancora più deludente visto il prezzo, grazie al software Midland, mascherano quello che l’hardware non riesce a fare, diminuiscono il fruscio di fondo (senza software il fruscio è molto alto), restando sempre in comunicazione anche quando non si parla (sono progettati così, ma lo reputo un grosso difetto), dopo 2 ore avevo il ronzio alle orecchie, stesso problema con tutti e tre gli apparati che ho sostituito (2 BTX2pro ed 1 BTX1pro) Questa caratteristica progettuale (rimanere sempre connessi), ti “riporta” a livello acustico anche il rumore del motore della moto (bmw R1200R) e del vento, che non percepisci perché è molto basso ed è uguale al rumore circostante (motore + vento), il tutto viene mixato con il leggero fruscio di fondo dovuto all’hardware non all’altezza di quanto ti aspetti. Veramente scadente ricorrere e sbandierare la presenza di un software miracoloso per compensare quello che un buon hardware dovrebbe fare. Risultato, anche per mia moglie, fastidio alle orecchie (notevole) tale da rimandare indietro il pacco, pessimo prodotto, sconsiglio vivamente a chi pretende silenzio quando non si comunica. Il silenzio non si potrà mai ottenere se in Intercom la comunicazione rimane attiva in continuo. Naturalmente ho variato tutti i settaggi possibili dal software Midland, tutto quello che era possibile variare l’ho cambiato, niente da fare, l’hardware è fatto così. Aggiungo anche un fastidioso effetto riverbero / eco della voce in comunicazione tra me e mia moglie (passeggero) come se fossimo in una stanza vuota, effetto che spariva se, scesi dalla moto, ci allontanavamo oltre i 5 metri l’uno dall’altra. Premetto che ho lavorato in ambiente di guerra elettronica e che radar e antenne sono il mio pane quotidiano. Cardo Freecom 1+ e 2+ invece, quando non si parla (con Intercom attivo), chiudono e interrompono ogni rumore di fondo, quindi, in pratica, la comunicazione parte solo quando inizi a parlare, grazie ad un software incorporato che riconosce istantaneamente la voce umana, di conseguenza rumore uguale a zero quando si viaggia e non si parla. Rumore di fondo durante la comunicazione col passeggero pari a zero, ottimo prodotto, veramente. Altoparlanti del Freecom 2+ migliori del Freecom 1+ e migliori addirittura dei blasonati hi-fi della Midland BTX 1 o 2 pro. Inoltre considerate che secondo le normative USA che misurano la potenza emessa da ogni apparato che trasmette, Freecom 1+ ha un range di 10 m, quindi va bene solo con passeggero ed emette circa 10 mW, invece tutti gli altri emettono fino a 150 mW per coprire le distanze con altri motociclisti, costantemente. Un Iphone 7 emette in trasmissione, durante una conversazione, se coperto da una buona rete cellulare, fino a 150 mW ...... (Questi dati li potete estrapolare dalle prove pdf che sono reperibili dal sito americano governativo che misura le emissioni dei prodotti tramite il codice identificativo della prova stampato nell’etichetta dietro la centralina dell’ interfono). Se lo usate solo con passeggero vi consiglio di evitare esposizioni inutili specialmente a pochi cm dal cervello. Un altro consiglio, centrate bene la posizione degli altoparlanti con il foro del vostro orecchio e cercate di avvicinarli il più possibile all’orecchio usando degli spessori di gomma piuma o altre cose in dotazione nella confezione, anche pochi mm di distanza possono non farvi percepire i bassi prodotti dagli altoparlanti a scapito della qualità acustica. Vi assicuro che con gli altoparlanti del Cardo 2+ la musica si sente benissimo, paragonabile a delle cuffiette jbl o bose e che non è assolutamente necessario fare l’upgrade comprando gli altoparlanti Cardo-JBL. Tutto quello che ho scritto non è di parte, ma solo a seguito di numerosi resi dovuti alla qualità dei prodotti sopra menzionati, senza contare lo stress e perdita di tempo per più di un mese, visto anche i prezzi che pretendono. Se altre persone non hanno notato questi problemi, considerate anche che, per esempio, non tutti sono sensibili o fanno caso a questi fruscii / rumori di fondo, è soggettivo, ma è anche obiettiva la presenza di queste caratteristiche di progettazione, quindi spero di aver aiutato nella scelta chi è sensibile a queste problematiche, chi non lo fosse può anche ignorare quello che ho riportato.
