- Amazon Brand - Wag Pate Canned Dog Food, Turkey & Chicken Recipe, 12.5 oz Can (Pack of 12)

My senior dog loves this pate food. He is about 19 years old and I hand feed it yo him on a spoon. It had a pleasant mild smell. The ingredients are good quality. The texture is smooth. He likes the taste. He was recently deathly sick and wouldn’t eat for days. Never picky before but now only eats pate and really enjoys this one. He is doing great now.

My dogs love it!!! It’s stinky but I’m not eating it so that’s ok! Even my picky German Shepherd likes it!! and he doesn’t like much…

NOTE: pics in listing says made in USA put, bottom of pate turkey cans say; product of CANADA!! there was no hesitation eating this new to our dogs brand. my pup ate it so fast that i thought i didn’t feed him enough (german shepherd they grow like weeds and need loads of calories), nope he just loves this pate way more then he likes his beyond wild turkey duck pate. which i am glad since that brand price seems to be going up to $32 for 12 cans! this pate is on the too moist side to me, i suppose it will make it easier to mix with kibbles when needed though.. i do prefer the texture of the beyond wild, i feel that you get more actual food weight with it since it is not overly moist like this wag brand. still this wag is good too, no peas and fillers. Dogs really love it and i like the price better so we will be switching to this IF the next 4 cases subscribed to for end of month do not end up with mostly really dent up cans! this was my only dislike with this brand, the cans seem more fragile and apparently dent easily for all but 2 were dented in while the case of beyond wild in same box with it was perfectly fine.. made me question wether the smell of the food was normal or not for it smelled weird!!

Food is good cans are not???

This is a rare review for me, but I wanted to warn people that there is something in it that makes my dog very sick! I bought some cases of this - and he got sick— I didn’t think it was the food at first. But after every single time I have him this specific food (I alternate with other brands) he would shake, throw up, and have trouble breathing. At one point , I was ready to take him to the emergency vet- I thought he was going to die. I stopped giving this food to him. Then recently I ran out of all other food so I gave him a can of this food (still don’t know what to do with the leftover cans I have- I even won’t donate them), and he again was shaking, vomiting, and had respiratory issues. Is this made in China?? There’s something terribly wrong with this food.

I've ordered Wag dog food in the pate style multiple times. I have an aged beagle with missing teeth and this pate is the best consistency along with a great ingredient panel. I got this purchase on a deal now with 6 dollars off for only $12. Well worth it. Also during the pandemic when cat food was hard to come by for whatever reason I bought every pate flavor Wag has and all six cats and the dog loves them. Wag has better ingredients than most cat foods. No byproducts. Well tolerated by all the pets and easy on the wallet. This is sent to me from an Amazon distribution center in Robbinsville, NJ who do an awesome job. I've yet to receive crushed cans in dozens of orders of cases of heavy pet food. Happy dog. Our 5# rescue girl has a very sensitive stomach. Switched her from a vet recommended brand of dog food that she was not digesting well and she is eating much better and really seems to enjoy. I think because it's chicken and turkey. I like that it is pate and much easier than trying to break up chunks of meat. I was reluctant to purchase this but the ingredients were same as competitor brand. Just a plus this is much less. It wasn't about the cost as much as giving our "baby" healthy food that she can digest well. Just make sure you introduce the new food slowly. NO ADDED: No added grain; No added corn, wheat, or soy; No added artificial colors and flavors or chemical preservatives
