Praise "I bought the "I Wrote This For You" book in actual, real-life paperback and it soothes my soul. Buy it if you can." - Laura Prudom (News Editor for Variety) "One of the most beautiful things I have ever read. Ever." - BT (Grammy Nominated Composer and Technologist) "This is me. This is you. This is us. This is every human being, past and present, old and young, of every ethnicity, race and faith. Our every complex human emotion translated into words. Someone knows and someone understands. This is the essence of what it truly means to be human." - Ethar El-Katatney (CNN African Journalist Of The Year, award-winning journalist, blogger and author) "The magnificent beauty of I Wrote This For You is quite simply this: the book is elegantly incomplete without you. No one else in the world can read it the way you do. No one." - Matthew E. May (The Elegant Solution, In Pursuit Of Elegance, The Shibumi Strategy) About the Book "I need you to understand something. I wrote this for you. I wrote this for you and only you. Everyone else who reads it, doesn't get it." Started 2007, I Wrote This For You is an acclaimed exploration of hauntingly beautiful words, photography and emotion that's unique to each person that reads it. This book gathers together nearly 200 of the most beautiful entries into four distinct chapters; Sun, Moon, Stars, Rain. Together with several new and exclusive entries that don't appear anywhere else, each chapter of I Wrote This For You focuses on a different facet of life, love, loss, beginnings and endings. Review: Bought a used book - book is perfect regardless that itโs used. Review: Phenomenal - This book is just amazing. The best way, I think, to describe it, is beautifully depressing. This is more than a book. It is every thought in my mind and all the things I've yet to think. It's everything I've wanted to say, all the words I've never spoken. I've never read anything so beautiful and pure. This says everything, while saying nothing at all. It says that everything will be OK, no matter the circumstance. And it says that nothing is impossible, as long as you believe it. Love is a tragedy and this book just captures everything about that. It shows how beautiful love can be, as well. It just captures everything in such a powerful and fragile way. It is the essence of life itself and I feel like these words have changed me and given me hope. I feel like if I hadn't read this, then I'd just be empty.

Sentiments.
I think it's very difficult to say it doesn't resemble a tumblr dashboard or some hipster wannabe poetry that's beens roaming the Internet but in my opinion it's got something more. I guess I'm sentimental but I really think there's something in here for everyone and personally I buy a book for the sake of feeling something and not reading for the sake of how wonderful constructed the prose is or how many intricately embedded insights the author showed expertise in. It was nice to read and I felt glad after I read it. I must say the photography is a little disappointing but there were some very beautiful photographs in there that did stand out. Overall I think both the writing and photography is good but not quite great. Perfect for a sentimental touch.

A Beautiful Creation of Poetry and Photography
I was attracted to this piece by the cover and the cheesy title. I came across it during a point in my life when I was emotionally and mentally exhausted and just fed up with everything. I hoped that something in this book was going to reach out to me and shake me from my fog, and it didn't disappoint. I loved this work for its stunning and sometimes strange images placed between all of the challenging, thought-provoking and quietly beautiful poems carefully put together here. Sometimes the poems are soft and tender, and sometimes they are jarring and elusive, but always they are moving in one way or another. This collection is going to stay with me for a long time, and I am so glad I made the purchase.

Not me
I read the sample because it was a suggestion in one of my favorite books, thinking it's a good time waster until my next goal. I also assumed it would be about as good reading a pageless book. That wasn't the case. This book moved me, and moved through me. Pages full of poetic emotions and heartfelt experiences pushed together to prove one simple thing: no one is ever alone in anything. It inspired me to do things I'd never thought of doing, and comforted me from things I had believed would ultimately kill me. This book is worth a read, even if you're not the type to read this kind of book. I wasn't.

Obsessed!
I absolutely love this book. It's creative, poetic, heartbreaking, romantic and flat out interesting. After nearly every page I would stop and just say "Woww..". I love the layout, I love the photo's, I love the detail and I'm obsessed with the writing. This is one of those books that you go back to after a while and re-read and it's as if you're reading it for the first time. Definitely recommend. Keep in mind it's short, to the point, and the "chapters" are more like paragraphs or snippets but it works for this book.

... based of the preview excerpts but it is still good. I don't know how else to describe what ...
This was a little bit different than I expected based of the preview excerpts but it is still good. I don't know how else to describe what I mean by that. Let me try: I am very into self-help, inspirational poetry and literature. However, when I was reading this, it just felt very emotional, which is not a bad thing but it just isn't my style. A lot of the poems focus on how another person makes you feel and I'm a very independent person. I like reading things that make me whole in myself and are not confessions of love for another person. Yes, I like that side of poetry but this was a little much for me. JUST A PERSONAL OPINION THOUGH. For example, "The Most Important Thing Humans Do" reads, "Go to work. Eat. Dream. Try to sleep. Think of you. Count the stars. Wake up. Think of you. Be here. Listen to what they're saying. Think of you..... etc etc...." You get it. Not my style. If you don't like reading things that make you feel like you are completely reliant on another person to function then I would probably skip reading this. No offense to the author, it's great work. Just not my personal preference of poetry.

A Private Look into a Public Book.
This book is easily read because each page stands alone...as either a comment about the World, a poem to a loved one, a moment of expressing pain in the situations we all feel when we care for another. The photos in the book are beautiful and touching, and are usually themed to the various stanzas on that page. If you look at a sample of the book, it's easy to see what you are going to receive from its pages all the way through -and the last page is worth owning the entire book, alone.
