does this work on foods like pizza, etc.?

My husband swears by this. He puts it on all kinds of stuff but since we do not eat pizza with sauce on it, he doesn't need it on pizza. Given it works on all other kinds of food, try it. You might be pleased.

Why has this doubled in price? The last time I ordered it, this was the price for two bottles, Now it appears to be the same price for one??

Hi Chris - The price of the 2.4oz CalciBlend Shaker Bottle has been 29.95 for at least the past ten years . If I have the correct person in Warwick, RI the last order you made was on 6-25-19 and it was for two 2.4oz Shaker Bottles and you paid 59.90 + 3.65 for shipping = 63.55.

Is this the same formulation as what is in Coffee Tamer?

Yes it is. My husband has been using it for years after Coffee Tamer name was no longer used. I think the web even said it was the same many, many moons ago B>) This way the name says it can be used for more things than taming coffee, sort of an expansion of the products usefulness.
