I bought this to replace my Chi and Global Beauty ceramic straighteners because after a year they wouldn't get as hot as they should have. This straightener is amazing. It has a frosted outer texture to enhance your grip, and has a thumb press for even greater handling. The plates are also just a little bit longer than the Chi so you can do more hair at a time. The digital read out is super simple and easy, and the cord is also nice and long. It also heats quick as a flash! I only have to go through each section of my curly African American hair ONE TIME with these titanium plates! My ends feel silky smooth and soft instead of burnt and crispy like I noticed after using the Chi with its ceramic plates, and it's cheaper! My only complaint is with the shipping, as it did take an unusually long time to get delivered (via UPS) compared to my other Amazon purchaces, unfortunately, but it was well worth the wait and it arrived in stellar condition. Couldn't be happier, and will definitely buy again!

I bought this one because my hairdresser insisted that it was the best of all. She was right and it does a marvelous job! I had radiation and it affected a section of my hair that always stayed frizzy. This solved the problem for a whole day!

The quality of this flat iron is great. Well-made, not too heavy, sleak. It does a great job of straightening and it leaves hair smooth versus frizzy or sticking out. It's narrow so it's great for getting baby hairs, too. It curls well but with a major problem. The iron plates wrap around the edge and are pretty flush in line with its covers. While great for the quality of curls, I've burned myself multiple times. I'm talking real burns like blisters, burns, and scabs. If it gets too close to my scalp, then it burns, and I don't even have it higher than 310 degrees. There is no finger grip towards the top so if you are curling your hair, you better pray you don't grab on to the top portion where the plates wrap around. I've burned my ears, scalp, back of neck, front of the neck, and multiple fingers. WTH. There needs to be more protection. Anyway, the purple is nice and the price is right. I just used the difference of price of a higher quality flat iron to buy Neosporin.

This replaced another named brand that did not work as expected. This has been a good flat iron.

It’s a sleek flat iron, heats up fast, good digital display, and also works well for curling. I typically love Ion’s titanium flat irons but this one was just okay. I give 3 stars because just after 3 months and using it a few times (maybe 4x total) the swivel cord connection started making an electrical sizzling noise as it moves around while in use. This caused it to turn off at random. I unfortunately can’t use it anymore due to the power turning off and honestly it seems like a fire hazard. Just a disappointing experience considering I loved the one I had from a previous line of ion’s titanium flat iron options. With that said, I may have just gotten a faulty item and you might have better luck!

This is my 2nd one , I’ve been using my first one for the past 4 years. Smooth run, heats up very quickly to desired temperature, great for curling too.light on the hand . Great deal for the price

This flat iron is exceptional! I have 4c type hair and this flat iron got my hair bone straight in one pass. I was shocked!! I definitely recommend this straighter. If it can work for my hair (the most coil), it’ll work for yours.

Her original one over over 10 years broke when dropped, so replaced it w the exact same. Works great, easy to use and very durable - only had to replace because it took a 6 foot drop
