This book is well worth it. Beautiful pictures beautiful architectural.

Both the book and the images are stunning and works of art! Book is excellent quality and content, images, etc. are beautiful on display as well as to actually read and browse through!

This book is amazing - it's almost like a piece of furniture or valuable decor item. It makes a statement on my coffee table just by sitting there. The pictures inside are beautiful and the text is well written and interesting. It's definitely a conversation piece. I've also been inspired by the photos as I renovate my home. These estates are quite grand and only what most of us would dream about but we can take inspiration from them in small, meaningful ways. I especially like the piece on Fred MacMurray's farmhouse retreat.

This is my favorite coffee table book ever. The pictures are so large and beautiful, and the architecture is unmatched. I love the aerial sketches they include. It is a large book but not overbearing at all. Definitely a must have, I wish I would have ordered sooner.

This book is beautiful, the architecture is wonderful, and the book actually showed some basic plans, which made up for the writing, which wasn't all that illuminating, at least as far as architecture goes. The book is well worth the money, and will probably be something you can enjoy time after time.

This is such an inspiring collection of architecture by Backen. I bought it because I am a fan of timber framing and natural stone, and I am blown away by the details this architect uses. Gorgeous joinery dots almost every page, and the way the architect frames views is spectacular. A++ for siting all of the buildings! The collection focuses on wineries and the owners' personal properties, but there is a bit of restaurant and resort design as well. Photos are striking, large and envelop you in the world of Mr. Backen.

The book is absolutely gorgeous. Just what I was hoping for. Disappointed that it was just tossed into an Amazon box that was about 4 inches too big for it and the edges are all bent. I wouldn’t think it should be such a big deal for them to wrap some bubble around a book

This book is YUGE. The photos are beautiful and the book is well made. HOWEVER. These are a collection of gorgeous winery photos. You may find them inspiring for building your new home. Everything is on a grand, grand scale. The elite class scale. The out of touch with reality scale. As stated, you may find inspiration if lots of natural elements such as wood timbers and stone are your style. Just don’t expect to see many photos of kitchens. There are no bed and bath photos. Huge common areas for gathering are the focus. Stone walled gardens, converted barns, etc. Still amazing, just purely inspirational. I deducted one star since this was not made clear in the book description. I expected SOME winery photos, just not all. Ask yourself if paying $60 is worth that.

What a stunning book! Makes the perfect coffee table book. The images inside are unreal. This book is big and is such a statement piece. It would make an amazing gift for home decor and design enthusiasts! Only reason I gave it a 4 was because 2 of the pages had smudges probably from when it was printed. Asides that the corners were intact and it was well packaged and wrapped with plastic. Love this book!

My new favourite architecture book! Inspiring and beautifully photographed, can't stop looking at it, one very talented team and wish I had a plot of land in the Napa Valley!
