Can this camera be mounted upside down (ceiling) and still be viewed upright?

Yes. This is how we have ours mounted. It works great.

Does this camera email snapshot images when motion is detected?

My camera is not the wireless version. Mine is wired by an Ethernet cable to my router. Mine does email snapshots to my internet inbox when motion is detected and also records video to both the onboard sandisk micro SD card and also to my hard drive on my computer. If you bought your camera from a US distributor, you have free tech support. Call them and they will help you set up the settings on your computer. If necessary, they will even take control of your computer to set them up for you if you ask them to. GW

What is the difference in hardware between the FI9821W and FI9821P? I see that the FI9821W is V2. No hardware version mention for the FI9821P.

The FI9821P is the plug and play version of the FI9821W. There are some hardware differences that give it the ability to do P2P setup.

Can you set times of the day when you want the camera to record motion and then email pictures? Or does it just record motion 24 hrs/day?

Yes, you can set motion detection schedules as well as recording schedules without motion detection.
