Great for a quick clean especially for AKs that you never thoroughly clean and just won’t to get the most of the carbon off and then know that it’s lubed good enough and protected from corrosion

PROS: * Dissolves wax & grease * Flushes out debris * Thick enough to be a decent lubricant * Enough solvent to not go on too goopy CONS: * Can is only 4oz. Larger cans are not aerosol * Slightly unpleasant scent. DETAILS: I used a can of this for cleaning bike parts, especially the chain, bearings, etc. There's enough solvent, propellant, etc that this foams just a tiny bit and gets into most of the crevasses. You want to let it sit/soak for a few minutes if you've used dry lube (wax), and re-treat a couple of times for hard to reach areas (under the chain rollers). You know it's clean when you rinse with this, and no more black dust (metal/carbon powder) is driven out. There's a slightly unpleasant scent to this, but not horrible. It goes away as the solvent/propellant evaporates. This dries thinner than garage-door grease, but thicker than WD40. It's good enough to use as its own lubricant for bicycle drivetrain parts during the wet months. The only real issue is that the can is only 4oz. It's designed for smaller stuff (ie, gun parts), because as a large-area cleaner, it just doesn't go far enough. For larger areas, use other solvents, cleaners and degreasers first, and use this as the final, light-lube step.

Cleaned a neglected S&W .44 Magnum to almost like new condition. Less odor than other solvents I've used also.

Shipped fast. The Break Free CLP is my favorite over several brands I've tried. It's not as oily so it cleans up easier and still provides adequate cleaning and a fine layer of lubrication. The spray tube let's you do good job of washing out the trigger and hammer mechanisms.
