Great hold with a natural finish. This wax gives my hair structure and volume without making it look greasy or stiff. It’s easy to apply, reworkable throughout the day, and smells great too.

So glad I tried Sponge Wax. Over the years I've used many of Hanz de Fuko's products, but for some reason not this one. After using other products from different companies that used natural clays that dried out my hair I was looking for something like the waxes I used years ago from Oribe, Sumotech etc. And Sponge Wax is actually better than those. It's labeled as "medium" hold but for me it's bit stronger than that and just perfect. It has healthy ingredients and I feel like it actually conditions my hair and hydrates it. The finish is awesome. I wouldn't say super matte and dry looking but it doesn't look wet and sticky either. Like something is in the hair but healthy looking and shiny. After showering I let it air dry a bit and go about the routine, then apply the Sponge Wax while it's still damp and not totally dry. I use about a thick dime amount and emulsify it well in the hands. Apply to the front, top and sides, then grab some more and apply to my sides again and shape with my fingers. When my hair gets longer I'll add a tiny bit of strong hold finishing spray and it's good for the entire day. And it washes out completely and does NOT dry out or damage my hair. It's awesome.

Great quality, works perfectly for styling and has a pleasant scent. It’s a medium hold and you can apply it and still style throughout the day if needed. I have tried many different products, but this is my favorite for medium hold with fine hair.

First time trying any type of hair wax and decided to go with this brand. Got this and Quicksand because of the style they give, which is medium hold and matte finish. Sponge wax has a little faint scent. The hold is very light but the matte finish i can see it as well as with Quicksand. Packaging is frosted plastic container in a box, very simple and functional, I do like the container. I've used it twice so far and the hold lasts maybe day and a half during which you can still shape it a little.

This is an excellent product, as expected from Hanz de Fuko. It smells absolutely amazing and leaves the scent on my hands even after rinsing, which is a nice little bonus. It's all natural and looks that way too in your hair with a nice matte finish that isn't super stiff. I would note that my particular order had a very dry and flaky consistency that I know is not normal for this product. I'm not sure if I just got a flawed product or what, but I might be purchasing mine from the official Hanz De Fuko website next time. It doesn't have the strongest hold, but it's also extremely easy to wash out. I would recommend putting some in while the hair is wet, blow drying, then adding a little more. If you need a stronger hold just add some hairspray at the end. As for the value, it's a pretty small amount but you really don't need to use a lot so I would say it's definitely worth it. You're going to pay more than you would for products you can find in standard supermarkets, but that's to be expected - this is an organic hair product that really works well, and it's also suppose to be sold exclusively on the manufacturer's website, so it's a nice find on Amazon. Will definitely continue to buy.

Light feel, flexible hold allows for a natural look and smell is clean but not overbearing.

It’s a decent product. I have been looking for a replacement for Mitch reformer as the new batch has grainy residue so tried this product. It’s decent in terms of its use but I just can’t get past the smell. I know a lot of people have liked the smell but it’s not for me.

Incredible product, it maintains the hairstyle and it doesn’t feel weird or cheap.
