Fish and frogs sure loved them.
Fish and frogs love them. A bit too large for my pets but not a 'bad' thing. Sure do stink, but meh, it is what it is - not a criticism.

Not for the squeamish or those sensitive to odors...Beware of inescapable "cricket juice fragrance"
My bearded dragon's favorite thing in the entire world is a handful of live crickets. The hunt is thrilling and makes for a very active day...Sheltering in place without a car has made me appreciate alternatives that my dragon will eat. This is one of them, even though the crickets are no longer living. I must say, if you have not seen "canned crickets", for a first timer, they can be a bit startling. Size, texture, odor, wateriness...I will say and I hope I don't ruin this for you for the rest of your life, they are closest to canned black olives, juice and everything. Live crickets are dry...these are not. Also since they have been soaking in from my understanding themselves, and the "large" crickets I was used to feeding my lizard live were roughly over an inch. These are like scary 1.5" to 1.75" large cockroach sizes, but stinkbug would be more similar in color, size and well, odor...I would recommend opening the cans in a well-ventilated room. Having been vegan for many years, I value nonharmful lifeforms....so it was hard enough for me to feed live crickets, but I didn't want to deprive my lizard of its natural diet (accompanied with vegetables)...this is a WHOLE new level of comfort I needed to get accustomed to..legs and pieces of crickets all in wet stinky juice. My go to was a ziplock bag--when you dump these out, plenty of brown water will also be coming out-- even after freezing or refrigeration, the smell is less but very potent...All I can say is I'm so thankful the lizard is eating these, since the pellets I tried were treated with disdain and left uneaten. I have even been a return customer, since they are not as welcome, but consumed with the look of contempt....at least they are consumed...so I couldn't be happier about that essential part.

Rotten smelling crickets
These crickets were the worst smelling canned insect I have ever bought. They smelled rotten. Iโve had good luck with their grasshoppers, solder fly larvae, and snails, so I thought Iโd try these for my critters, but they smelled so bad I couldnโt bring myself to feed them to my animals and just threw the whole can away.

Monitor lizards hated it.
I'm givin' it 3 stars instead of 1 because I suppose SOME reptiles would eat this stinky rotten smelling stuff, but my young monitor lizards, who love insects alive or dead, couldn't tell these were supposed to be food and never touched it.

Our Tiger Oscar has problem with size
We ordered the Fluker's Gourmet Canned Food for Reptiles, Fish, Birds and Small Animals, Crickets, 1.2 oz in an effort to see if we can find a bit more variety of food for our 12-inch Tiger Oscar. The product arrived in a vacuum-sealed can that was a bit difficult for my 70-year-old hubby to get open thanks to arthritis and peripheral neuropathy. However, he managed and "Oscar" (orginal name, right?) jumped all over the first cricket dropped in his tank. The product is a bunch of whole crickets inside the can with bodies about an inch long. The bad thing is that he seemed to gag on the cricket's hind legs. So, hubby removed the legs on next offering. Oscar eyeballed the carcass a bit then devoured it like he had eaten nothing for a week. Then, he regurgitated the whole thing, albeit that the body was pretty mutiliated and gushy. Seems Oscar was having issues getting the whole cricket to go down the throat. OK.... All of that to say that our Oscar seems to REALLY like the idea of a cricket meal. He just isn't too keen on the difficulty of getting it down the gullet. Based on Oscar's reaction to the product, we recommend it and will be looking for smaller crickets because pulling off legs and cutting down the body is just nasty work I can do without.

Fluker Labs SFK78000 Gourmet Crickets
Our Bearded Dragons really enjoy the bugs from Fluker Labs. They are not dried and gives them a treat that I cannot provide live to them anylonger because of where we live. They need to have the bugs every so often to keep them going and if you cannot provide fresh live bugs for them to hunt this is the next best thing and at least they get the nutrients that the insects contain because they are still juicy. The smell is not the greatest but the lizards like them. I will be expanding the types I get for our lizards also.

Good quality canned bugs.
Good quality and large size. Both my red eared slider and bearded dragon love them. I took one Star off as they are too pricey. The can is full though.

Mealworms=Good. Crickets=Not for me.
I ordered crickets as well as some mealworms to feed to some bird-friends. Both things are exactly as you would expect. The mealworms are mealworms and the crickets are crickets. But the crickets in particular are massive. Like, I was expecting little ones like the live ones you buy at the pet store. These are over an inch long and probably half an inch thick. Also, the smell. BLECH!! Upon opening the can of crickets I was promptly punched in the face by an odor that I can only describe as.....haunting. The mealworms were a bit better. (I will be sticking with those from here on out.) But I can absolutely see the crickets being more appealing to large carnivorous fish or toads/reptiles. I think it's a pretty good product! Just not for my purposes, specifically. Also, The heading advertises the cans as 2.4 lbs. They are definitely not. Further down in the description they are correctly advertised as 1.2 oz. The heading is misleading and needs to be changed.

Beardie approves
The adult beardie eats them. Great option for smaller lizards because it's a little more... minced(?) and juicy than Can O' Crickets. The crickets are small to medium sized. I prefer the larger ones which are less juicy and less smelly, but to each their own.
