Great hat. Colour superb and ties to ensure a comfortable fit. Bought a similar one 10 years ago, if this lasts as long I'll be over the moon. Packs well in a suitcase. Can be washed.

Baulked a little at the price of Wallaroo hats when first looking for an anti-uv hat last year, but all was forgiven when I received it, and one year later I love it even more. It has been rolled up in a rucksack, crumpled in a case, jammed into a shoulder bag for day trips and always comes out more or less in perfect shape-give or take the odd crinkle which soon drops out. It's been worn up a Welsh mountain, all around Rome, and its latest trip was on a narrowboat during last week's heatwave, where it protected my face and neck during several hours of skippering every day, in temperatures above 30 degrees C. The drawstring crown adjustment is great as it can be tightened to the perfect fit, or to help it stay on in breezy weather. Its light, airy and stylish enough for city breaks or the beach and it's excellent quality. Well worth the initial investment price, in fact I've just bought another in a different colour. I expect to get many years use out of these. As a fair-skinned redhead I wouldn't be without one during the summers now.

I took this hat on holiday to a hot country recently and was delighted with it. You can alter the fit of it so it will stay comfortably on your head no matter what your hat size. It packs away in your suitcase or backpack and comes out looking immaculate, never losing its shape. It also allows air through so that it doesn't feel hot to wear, and it shades your face and the back of your neck. I wondered if I should pay that much for a sunhat, but I'm so glad I did because it is worth every penny.

I'm very pleased with this hat. Looks good on, with brim up or down. Bounces back well from being squashed or folded to. Got rained on (light drizzle) and wasn't harmed in any way. However I've only given it 4 stars as for some reason they've idiotically put a thick shoe lace type string in the inside tighener to keep it snug on your head. Apart from not being at all comfortable any tighness on this string leaves the wearer with a horrible line indent across their forehead... which makes you look very stupid when you take the hat off. Why they done this is beyond me in their Victoria hats, as in some of their other hat models, which I also own, have a nice thin flat ribbon material which has a slight flex which is perfect. So I solved the problem myself by replacing the nasty fat string with some bias binding (about 13mm width) in a colour similar to the hat I bought. By tieing one end to the string and pulling it through the band loop, as I pulled the original string out, it was very easy. Works an absolute treat, the hat is now very comfortable, no more forehead line creases and with the new 'ribbon' tied, stays on my head in the wind very well.

Bought my Victoria Wallaroo 10 years ago for £26.88 and wondered at the time if I was wasting my money. I have used it every summer since. It has been on countless holidays, flattened into many sizes of suitcase and still looks good. Comfortable to wear. Hand washes in cool water and dries quickly. Love it

This is a fake. It is not a genuine Wallaroo hat and does not match the picture. No label, wrong shape, wrong material, wrong colour. It was a funny little button hat, not a sunhat at all. DO NOT BUY!

I was looking for a hat for my holidays that wouldn't arrive totally crushed and this is the hat! It packs flat, & when I arrived at my destination, the Wallaroo was easy to pop pack to its original shape & looks great on. It has a (quite long) drawstring inside, so you can adjust it to fit which is great as I've a pretty small head! The material is good quality - it's finely woven, & I think it will last well. It's extremely lightweight too. Would recommend.

UPDATE 07/30/2018: This really IS the last hat I will ever buy. Could not be more pleased with this hat. And now that I have packed it on a few trips, I can also say that the packability is great. I usually flatten it, rather than fold or roll, and place on top of my clothes as the last item before I zip my suitcase. Works like a charm. After many wearings on hot summer days and in hours of sun, it still looks as good as that day I first received it. Earlier Review: Perfect. Exactly what I was looking for ... lightweight (but with some shape and not floppy), "airy" so my head doesn't sweat like Niagara Falls, and, a very attractive style on my head. I have a freakishly large head and this fits very well, not tight at all. I can't speak yet to the "pack-able" claim as I have not put it in a suitcase. Pack-ability was another feature I was looking for, though, so hopefully I will be pleased. I hesitated at the price (I'm pretty frugal) but am glad I ordered this hat. Although it's still early days, I feel like this may be the last beach-summer-vacation hat I may ever buy ... so that's economical in the long run! As long as free returns are offered, I wouldn't hesitate to give it a try if you are on the fence.

Two friends bought a Wallaroo hat in the same style a year ago. They looked beautiful so I got one for myself. It is well made, light weight, and easy to pack for vacation. It adjusted to my head size perfectly using the inside ties. And the colour is lovely. Very happy with this purchase.

I love this hat. It is my fifth Wallaroo Victoria hat. I now have in tan, white, black, pink, lime. It came packed well (no creases or folds) and in great condition. It is stylish and fits beautifully, is light weight, is true to tan color, will be useful for golf and travel as its packable and washable as usual. Plus, it’s a reasonable price and can be tightened with cord in windy conditions. I now give this hat as a gift to female relatives. Great sun protection.
