Awesome for dogs with sensitive skin
We use this once a week or two. My dog it's itchy and turns pink and sometimes blotched of rash/bumps. We try to stay on giving him a bath every couple weeks with it to stop the itching. After using this on him by the next day he is cleared up. We started with our 2 year old when we got him at 8 weeks. His belly was full of bumps and skin was so pink. The shelter named him piglet because he was so pink. We believe the foster had flies and he was having a reaction. We used it as soon as we got home and the next morning he wasn't pink and the bumps had went down a bunch It smells so good and doesn't leave a wet dog smell mixed with it and leaves their coat so soft. People always ask what we use to get them soft

Leaves coat soft and silky
This is a thick cream that is not a shampoo. It helps certain skin conditions by alleviating itching. My dogs skin was itchy after I walked them someplace new that had fleas. First I shampooed to kill the fleas then used this to soothe their skin. It worked great. I also have a dog that gets itchy from allergies, this wasn't very effective. So it depends on the cause. However it left their coats silky and soft and smelled good.

Ingredient list; upgraded review...
Ingredients: (from the label): Water, colloidal oatmeal, beta-hydroxy salicylic acid, vitamin B5, vitamin E, hydrolyzed wheat protein, alpha-hydroxy malic acid, omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, vitamin A UPDATED REVIEW: I left the following negative review originally- I'll leave it, since I recommended another product that did work with that dog (and btw, under my review for that product a couple of people made very helpful comments about things that worked for their dogs). But I subsequently got another dog, a rescue dog, a short-haired chihuahua-pomeranian mix who also scratched incessantly and the Tropiclean worked liked a charm for her. It smells good, and no more scratching! OLD REVIEW: I don't like to leave bad reviews, but this simply had no effect whatsoever on my long-haired chihuahua's incessant scratching. We're in the minority, so it may well work for you, considering all the good reviews. I know my dog's itching is not from fleas, she's flea-free, have no idea as to the cause. I'm careful about toxins in the environment and household products, all natural, etc. She has no visible rashes or sores, but scratches herself raw, the hair off. I've tried aloe vera gel, hydrocortisone sprays and salves, they helped for a little while but after licking them off, right back to scratching again. I was mainly prompted to leave this review by the fact that I FINALLY found something that worked as if by magic, hallelujah: SynergyLabs VF Clinical Care Itch Relief Medicated Spray, 8oz . A light spray of this TWO DAYS AGO and she hasn't scratched since! INSTANT relief. Thank-you Lord and Synergy Labs! So if the Tropiclean fails to work for you, you might give the Synergy spray a try, my girl is certainly happy we did.

Love this stuff!
I bought this for my cats because we have been struggling to get rid of fleas and the flea dermatitis is really irritating their skin. One cat I have has pretty bad dandruff and this really conditioned her so well that i have yet to see dandruff flakes 1 week post bath. Their fur was so nice and soft. The smell is nice. And it relieved their itching until more fleas hatched and got to them. Highly recommend. Only complaint is that you have to use a lot because it doesn't lather well so at the price point it is at... it would get expensive to regularly buy this to use on 3 Cats.

Stopped my dog from suffering from hot stops and losing her hair.
My dog suffered hot spots for years. She lost large patches of hair on her back. I treated them medication and felt so sorry for her trying to scratch her back on the furniture. I tried diy methods as well and nothing seemed to work. I found this shampoo in a pet store figuring it was a other wasted effort. I apple it exactly like the directions. I leave it on 5 minutes or so before rinsing. She starting getting relief right away. She was scratching less. I kept using it. It wasn't long before her hair started growing back. Thats been about 4 years ago. She has never had another episode. I've told everyone who will listen to try this product. Amazon has the best price I've found. It was also hard to find in pet stores.

Not the best option for most cats
Great smell and good product, but unless you have a cat that likes water, donโt opt for this as a solution for itchy skin. Itโs a conditionerโso itโs hard to rinse off skin anyway, let alone rinse off of a scared, wet cat. Itโs supposed to sit on the skin for a little while for maximum effect. Iโm sure itโs great for dogs or more adventurous cats, but it was not easy to use.

Great product
My cat suffers from quite serious millary dermatitis caused by a flea bite allergy; he gets sores all up his back if he gets bitten by a flea. I am tired of having to take him to the vets and paying ยฃ60 every time he gets poorly from this, as I don't like him having loads of steroid and antibiotic injections. This happens even if he is flea treated, so I decided to try and also treat the dermatitis. I bought this product for this purpose and I am massively impressed; after one treatment his sores began to heal and he's more like his old self, without having to use drugs and spend a fortune! It was easy to apply, has a lovely scent and, in my opinion more importantly, was easy to wash off so I didn't have to stress him out unduly with loads of washing and scrubbing at his fur. Happy owner and happy Pugwash cat!

Much later in the year her fur grew back and grew back nice and thick
Last summer my cat had a reaction to flea bites even though she was using Frontline flea treatment. She would constantly keep on scratching herself, biting up her tail, her back, keep on scratching her neck. Her fur started disappearing on her back and part of her tail, there were lots of scabs on her back, her tail, and around her neck because it was so itchy. I was going to take her to the vet because of her condition. Then I saw this and decided to buy it with the shampoo and Anti itch spray. I gave her a bath twice a week using the shampoo, then the conditioner which you have to leave on for a couple of minutes. When her fur was dry I would spray and massage the anti-itch spray onto the trouble areas. After about a week she wasn't scratching and biting so much and before a month the bumps and scabs started to heal. I must of used this for about 2 month. Much later in the year her fur grew back and grew back nice and thick. I was so amazed with this product I am so glad I discovered it. This treatment soothes the dry itchy scab skin on my cat. Very good treatment if your pet has a skin condition which can be treated at home. It would take me about 20 minutes to bath my cat because I wanted to make sure that the treatment penetrated the skin and it helps soften the scabs especially around her neck.I even changed her flea treatment to Advantage because frontline didn't seem to be doing the job anymore. Since last year she hasn't had any outbreaks. This is a wonderful product because I saw the tremendous change it did to my cat. I still use it with the shampoo once a month because I like to bathe her once a month and she loves it too.But I'll never forget all the bumps and scabs and fur missing because of reaction to flea bites, and how the shampoo, conditioner and anti- itch spray cured her problem. It is better to buy all 3 products if your dog or cat has a skin condition that you need to treat at home.
