The bottles are confusing and reviews for the different products are all mixed together.
I actually thought I was buying a peel, so I was a little miffed when it didn't peel. But I used it as a cream, and I wasn't expecting much...but after a couple of months my skin just looked brighter and less pigmented. I got off of it for a while so I could finish some other products and it looks like I should've kept going with this bc some of the spots got a little darker again. Not a whole lot...but noticeable to me. Upon a deep dive into the ingredients, this is a power house of all kinds of pigment inhibitors, exfoliators, cell renewing retinol & peptides and a plethora of antioxidants. This could be used as a stand alone routine with sunscreen unless you have really dry skin. Mine is combination and I experienced no irritation or dryness, but I am a seasoned user of AHAs and tretinoin. I would definitely repurchase again. You just need patience. It's an underrated product. Having said that, the company really needs someone to overhaul their bottle graphics and labelling... Here's a breakdown of the ingredients and what they target: It targets melanin synthesis, transfer, inflammation, and cell turnover — the four key angles of hyperpigmentation. Here's what the actives are packing: 1. Tyrosinase inhibitors (slow melanin production): Alpha-Arbutin Kojic Acid 4-Butylresorcinol ⭐️Hexylresorcinol (Synovea HR)⭐️ super star Niacinamide Glutathione Vitamin C 2. Melanin transfer blockers: Niacinamide Tranexamic Acid Decapeptide-12 3. Anti-inflammatory + antioxidants (prevent rebound pigment): Green Tea Panthenol Vitamin E Ascorbic Acid Cucumber Extract 4. Gentle exfoliation (increases skin turnover): Azelaic Acid Glycolic, Lactic, Malic, Tartaric Acids Salicylic Acid Retinol

This product help my hemosiderin
There is little to no help for hemosiderin, iron deposits under the skin from ruptured blood cells due to bruising. I had reconstructive surgery on my nose after removal of cancer which left me with black bruising. When it faded, I still had very large dark spots on my upper cheeks just under both eyes and turned out to be hemosiderin. My doctor has told me nothing will help this, not even laser resurfacing. I tried an over the counter dark spot product, which did not work. So I next tried Ebanel Dr. Brightening dark spot remover. I used for 30 days, followed instructions and have seen a fading of the spots. One cheek is barely visible now. The other will never go away completely I think, but I am now on my second round with the Ebanel and think I will see additional results. The product makes no claims to help this condition, but it does give me hope to look more normal over time.

This is a chemical peel - proceed with caution
I read a lot of mixed reviews and I think some people missed that this is a chemical peel, meaning yes your skin will burn and peel. I have had melasma above my lip for two years. I have tried many different serums and creams to lighten it with no results. After using this product, the melasma is 90% gone. A couple of things to keep in mind if you decide to use this product: - it is very potent. Your skin will burn almost as soon as you put it on - be careful not to let excess product pool in one area. I do have a section of skin that peeled and left the skin underneath raw. I have been moisturizing that area more and using aloe to help heal the skin, and it is healing nicely now - you only need a small amount. After three applications, my skin started to peel. I stopped applying when I noticed the peel - keep your skin moisturized while it is peeling. Essentially, I treated it the same I would a bad sunburn - use sunscreen - my skin peeled for about a week. Keep that in mind when deciding when to use I am still nursing the area of skin that burned deeper than the rest. I do believe that part was user error and I know how to better apply next time. I will probably do another round in a few months, knowing how to better use the product now, and hopefully see the rest of the melasma gone

Chemical burns
Hyperpigmentation left behind by acne is a major insecurity of mine. Now that hydroquinone is no longer available over the counter, I found this serum as an alternative. I did patch tests on my neck and chin for three days with no adverse reactions. Afterwards, I applied the serum with a q-tip to the areas I wanted to fade, every other day, for about a week. Just as the box stated it would, my skin darkened in color. I had no discomfort, itchiness or burning, but then the darkened skin became shiny and did not peel. It instead scabbed and became sensitive to even a gentle cleanser... indicative of chemical burns so I discontinued use. The skin continued to crack and split days after usage and then became very pink and inflamed and darkened as it healed. The areas I applied the serum to are now -extremely- darker than my natural skin tone, remaining visible even under color correcting concealers. This is going to take months, if not longer, to correct. The damage done to my skin and self esteem is not worth it. The serum is labeled as "potent" but it is dangerous. I have caramel colored skin and the patches left behind by this serum are nearly black in color. So devastating.

Not for me....very itchy.
I wanted this to work for me....so badly. I have really red cheeks and nose for about 9 years and during quarantine I’ve had a lot of time to order things and try and get my skin care in order. I ended up ordering this but it was so incredibly itchy and uncomfortable that I ended up washing it off after a few hours. It left my skin so dry and screaming for moisture. I just couldn’t hack it. Tried it again and had the same issues. I think this cream would be better left to putting on at night so you don’t have to go through an entire day with dry and itching skin. Do I think this will work for some people? Yes I do. I think some of the pictures speak volumes and hydroquinone is a strong topical medication that has a lot of proven benefit for people. So if you’re able to withstand the dryness and discomfort you may get some amazing effects from this that make those negatives moot. I just couldn’t :/ I may give this another try and will update if I’m able to get some use out of it. It was relatively inexpensive compared to high end brands that do similar things so I wasn’t out an insane amount of money and the product isn’t some super tiny tube so it is a decent value. It just may not be the product for me....so back to searching for the perfect lighting cream.

Works good!
Works great for my dark spots from melasma. After a few weeks, my dark spots are definitely lightened. I got this a few years ago and it worked great. I ended up getting too much sun on my face and had a flare up so I ordered more. I went with this again because of the great results I had last time.

Ebanel Dark Spot Remover – Gentle, Effective Skincare Treatment
I have been using the Ebanel dark spot remover for the face and I’m very satisfied with the results so far. The formula feels lightweight, absorbs quickly, and does not leave the skin greasy or sticky, which makes it easy to include in a daily skincare routine. It helps improve the appearance of dark spots and uneven skin tone with consistent use. I noticed my skin looking a bit brighter and more even after a few weeks. It is also gentle on the skin and did not cause irritation for me. I like that it works well under moisturizer and makeup, and a small amount goes a long way. The texture is smooth and easy to apply, which makes it very convenient. Overall, this is a good product for anyone looking to reduce dark spots and improve skin tone gradually. I would recommend it for people who want a simple and effective skincare option.

Quick Shipping, but like every other dark spot remover...it takes forever to show any difference
This is the first time I have tried a quinone-based spot remover. I thought it would be stronger since doctors say to be careful when using it, but it appears to be no different than non quinone removers. I've tried different brands for up to 4 months with no visible results...even The Ordinary's Alpha Arbutin does NOTHING. This brand appears to not do much either, but I've only been using it for a month, so, I will give it more time. Maybe the difference will appear later. I will update this review in a couple of months as to its efficacy, if given the opportunity. Worst case scenario...I will wear foundation on special occasions, since these products are slow to work. I can honestly say that unless I was to spend 100.00 for some fancy spot removing product...which I cannot afford, to find a product that actually works more quickly than the cheap ones...is not an option for me, unfortunately. Don't expect rapid results from any of these products. They do not work fast. It appears it can take at least a year to see much difference...if any.
